The talented huntress of the Nora tribe, Aloy, is back in Horizon Forbidden West. Half a year has passed since the events of the first game, and the emergence of a mysterious and deadly plague threatens Aloy's world unless she can find the source of it before it's too late.

During her travels, Aloy will encounter many new characters and a fair share of enemies, so choosing a proper outfit for her to wear will facilitate her journey. Gamers have access to a plethora of outfits for Aloy, depending on what perks they hope to gain. These are the rare ones out there.

8 Carja Shadow

The Carja Shadow, once fully upgraded, focuses more on survivability and endurance. It gives the heroine, Aloy, slightly more resistance to damages when her health is below 25%. However, to make up for the lack of resistance, this outfit provides Aloy with additional space in her Medicine Pouch to carry more Medicinal Berries. The Berries are more effective in healing her than regular ones as they work faster and give more healing.

This outfit, made from the armor of Shadow Carja Kestrels, is for players who rather play the Survivor class. It is sold in Plainsong and Scalding Spear by the Stitcher. Players should have 1 Longleg Circular and 399 Metal Shards with them if they hope to get this outfit.

7 Carja Wanderer

The Carja Wanderer outfit is well-balanced and perfectly suited for players who prefer the Trapper class. It gives Aloy the perk of placing traps for machines faster on the field. Fans of this class will be glad to learn that Aloy is more resilient when triggering her own traps or tripwires either by purpose or accident. Plus, when her HP drops below 25%, she can recover her health a lot sooner.

Trappers can find this rare outfit in Scaling Spear and The Bulwark. Before buying it from the Stitcher, players should ensure they have the required amounts of Metal Shards (399) and Sunwing Circulator (1) in their possession.

6 Nora Sentinel

The Nora Sentinel is a rare Hunter outfit. Usually worn by the ones who fought in the Red Raids, this outfit will give Aloy more resistance against machines other than those who use Acid Attacks.

This Hunter outfit is perfect for beginners as it has better stats than the regular Nora default armor. The Nora Sentinel increases Aloy's concentration limit, and when in stealth, she can deal more damages at a range. She can also recover her Weapon Stamina faster than usual. Sold in Barren Light, the players will need 1 Skydrifter Circulator and 399 Metal Shards to buy it.

5 Oseram Arrow Breaker

The Oseram Arrow Breaker is for all the Warriors out there. The studded leather armor is efficient against most humans and machines as its Critical Strike deals more damage with Light and Heavy attacks. Like the Carja Wanderer, this outfit makes Aloy more resilient to her own traps when triggering them, and she can place more than one trap and tripwire at the same time.

The outfit is available in The Bulwark, and the Stitcher will require the players to have 399 Metal Shards and 1 Widemaw Circulator to buy it.

4 Utaru Harvester

The Utaru Harvester is an outfit of the Infiltrator class, and as the name of the class suggests, players can easily sneak around their target or infiltrate areas while wearing this. The Utaru Harvester allows the player's visibility to be reduced, so sneaking around in stealth mode and in tall grass makes killing enemies one by one easier. Aloy can deal more damage while in stealth mode at a more precise range and the limit of her Weapon Stamina increases.

This Infiltrator outfit is also sold by the Stitcher but in three different places. Players can find it in The Bulwark, Plainsong, and Scalding Spear. It costs 1 Shell-Walker Circulator and 399 Metal Shards.

3 Oseram Wayfarer

The Oseram Wayfarer belongs to the class of Warriors, and it's the perfect outfit for fighting up close due to its flexibility. With this outfit, Aloy can dodge attacks more times before stumbling. Her health potions are more effective as they provide more healing. The Oseram Wayfarer also allows her to consume her potions quicker than usual.

This is the best rare Warrior outfit for those people who prefer close combat and using weapons like the spear. They will also cause more damage to their enemies with Light and Heavy attacks. Future warriors can purchase this cool outfit at the Sticher in Plainsong as long as they have 1 Widemaw Circulator and 399 Metal Shards.

2 Tenakth Marshal

Tenakth Marshal is a Survival class outfit perfect for using the machine's weapons against them. This is the only rare outfit that gives Aloy four skills instead of three like the other ones. Players can deal more damage with a heavy weapon, and while in stealth mode, they can cause more Tear damage by removing parts of the machine they are facing. If Aloy's health bar goes below 25%, her resistance to damage slightly increases, and her health comes back faster.

Fans of the game can only get this outfit while on the Main Mission called The Kulrut. The Tenakth Marshal is found in a chest near the Arena, close to The Memorial Grove.

1 Utaru Whisperer

The Utaru Whisperer is another outfit of the Infiltrator class. This outfit is perfect for sneaking around the enemies and causing deadly damage to them with Aloy's silent melee attacks. Whenever Aloy uses her Silent Strikes, she recovers more Weapon Stamina and health.

The Utaru Whisperer outfit is the best one so far against enemies as players can strike a few times before backing off a little while (undetected) to heal. Fans can get this one in a chest during the Main Quest called The Dying Lands.
