The new update 1.1 has improved Honkai: Star Rail in several ways, and some players have noticed that one of them is not present in the patch notes: it’s now possible to run without delay when switching characters. Ever since its release, Honkai: Star Rail had several quality-of-life changes when compared to Genshin Impact, such as ditching a constant companion like Paimon, and it seems that the devs continue the hard work to make it play even better.

Soon after its launch, Honkai: Star Rail was already a major success. The game was downloaded over 20 million times in a single day, and it managed to retain its popularity as it entered its second month of existence. While part of the reason for the astounding success was having its name attached to such a well-known property like Genshin Impact, HoYoverse is also offering a very smooth experience to players, and the new patch focuses on improving this aspect.

Now, gamers discovered a new quality-of-life change in Honkai: Star Rail, which was not originally disclosed in the patch notes. Spotted by the Reddit user JorganJreeman, this change makes the action of switching characters while running smoother than before. With the change, no longer will the players face a delay in running, changing characters seamlessly during the movement. While it may seem like a small change at first, it’s a huge gameplay boon, as it makes running around considerably more fluid and less annoying.

This was just one of the many quality-of-life features that were introduced in Version 1.1. Some others include improvements to the game’s menus to make them more intuitive, a new function that helps players to find locations for crafting materials and more. In the patch, HoYoverse also fixed an issue in which players would spawn near the Bud of Harmony Calyx and get attacked by enemies while trying to farm materials.

Unfortunately, Honkai: Star Rail version 1.1 is still not as good as it could have been. Some fans are currently disappointed that the in-game Friend Chat is still not available in Honkai: Star Rail. This feature was previously confirmed by HoYoLab before the patch was out, but it ended up not being in the game during the update’s release, which disappointed several gamers. However, HoYoVerse is definitely making good work with quality-of-life features in this title, so it’ll probably be available soon.

Honkai Star Rail is available now on Mobile and PC, with PS4 and PS5 versions in development.
