Honkai: Star Rail players are in for a special treat with HoYoverse revealing another batch of free rewards for players, following the game's high-profile launch. HoYoverse first introduced the Honkai Impact 3rd spinoff in 2021, revealing it as a turn-based sci-fi RPG with a closed beta test shortly following. The game has seen significant excitement from fans of the Genshin Impact developer leading up to its launch, topping App Store charts and breaking records for the studio. Players have already reaped plenty of rewards from the game's successful pre-release campaign.
Pre-registration has already brought numerous special bonuses for Honkai: Star Rail players with everything from free gacha currency to free characters. Star Rail's pre-registration milestones saw opportunities for players to acquire up to 20 of the game's Star Rail Passes, absolutely smashing the goals with over 10 million pre-registered users. The pre-release campaign also saw players earn a free four-star unit in Electro Erudition character Serval. Now, players looking to pick up their favorite Star Rail characters will have even more chances to do so.
HoYoverse officially revealed alongside the game's "Departure Festival" broadcast that players would be receiving a new batch of free Star Rail Passes. Players with a Trailblaze Level higher than 10 will receive a set of 10 Star Rail Special Passes, for use in the game's limited gacha banners, through their in-game mail. The rewards won't be exclusive to pre-existing players either with any Trailblazers passing Level 10 eligible for the mail rewards until June 7. Honkai: Star Rail has already featured numerous similar rewards, including a launch log-in bonus and reward codes for Stellar Jades.
Honkai: Star Rail already looks to have plenty to offer for both players looking to spend their gems and savers waiting for a certain character. Star Rail's current gacha features the powerful Quantum character Seele with Lightning five-star Jing Yuan planned for the first update's second half. Leaks from Honkai: Star Rail have already revealed several other characters featured within the story, including Silver Wolf, Kafka, and Blade, will be coming in the next few updates. Honkai: Star Rail features a similar pity system to Genshin Impact, with a guaranteed five-star every 90 pulls.
The massively successful launch for Honkai: Star Rail follows in the footsteps of its HoYoverse predecessor in Genshin Impact. Genshin Impact became an internet phenomenon following its release in late 2020 and quickly cemented itself as one of the most popular free-to-play games. Star Rail has even boasted a stronger launch than its predecessor in many ways, surpassing Genshin Impact's pre-registration milestones within a short time span. Honkai Star Rail looks set to be another overwhelming triumph for HoYoverse following its high-profile debut.
