A recent Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed several changes that will allegedly be made to Jiaoqiu's kit. Honkai: Star Rail's Jiaoqiu is one of the new units to debut in version 2.4 this summer. According to the leaked banner schedule, he will be available during the second phase of version 2.4 alongside another five-star character, Black Swan. The developers will reveal more details about these playable banners in a livestream that will air on July 19.

Before Jiaoqiu becomes playable in Honkai: Star Rail, a brand-new five-star unit, Yunli, will finally make her debut in the first phase of 2.4. She will reportedly come with Huohuo at the end of this month. Both Jiaoqiu and Yunli will appear on their own banners for three weeks. Not to mention, players will need to spend their Special Rail Passes on these banners to unlock new units permanently.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Reveals More Details About New Apocalyptic Shadow Boss

The latest Honkai: Star Rail leak provides fresh details about an Apocalyptic Shadow boss, which will allegedly arrive later this year.

A new Honkai: Star Rail leak from Dim has revealed several changes to Jiaoqiu's kit, which may arouse controversy among players. Jiaoqiu's skill deals fire damage equal to 75% of his ATK (decreased from 90%) to a single enemy. His trace doesn't reduce the target's Effect Hit Rate and provide an additional damage bonus anymore. Instead, it regenerates 15 energy at the start of the battle. In addition, Jiaoqiu's ultimate now deals AoE damage equal to 60% of his ATK (decreased from 120%.)

Honkai: Star Rail's Jiaoqiu Will Allegedly Receive Balance Changes

As per Dim, Jiaoqiu's ascension materials are Raging Heart, Shards of Desires, Immortal Aeroblossom, and Immortal Scionette. The character reportedly has a new Talent, which inflicts one stack of the Ashen Roast effect, increases the initial damage enemies receive, and deals additional DoT damage. It's worth noting that Jiaoqiu's kit could see more changes until he debuts in Honkai: Star Rail version 2.4.

Jiaoqiu is a five-star Nihility unit who inflicts temporary effects on enemies and fills in the DPS role. He creates a special dimension that lasts for 15 seconds, dealing AoE Fire damage equal to a percentage of his ATK. The effect Jiaoqiu inflicts on targets is Ashen Roast, which can be considered a Burn status. Enemies with a Burn status receive DoT damage at the start of each turn.

Jiaoqiu will make his playable debut after Honkai: Star Rail's Yunli is added to the banner cycle later this month. According to leaks, Yunli's skill set will also receive several changes that may affect his place in the current meta.
