Now, Version 2.3 will reportedly heavily focus on endgame content.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks New "Apocalyptic Shadow" Boss

A new update shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat is teasing the reappearance of an old enemy in Honkai: Star Rail's "Apocalyptic Shadow" game mode. According to the post, players will once again be battling against Honkai: Star Rail's Doomsday Beast, first seen attacking the Herta Space Station. The new version of the boss will feature a special Mark mechanic, causing characters to deal extra damage to enemies with Quantum or Imaginary weaknesses. However, attacking an enemy with the wrong weakness will trigger a counter-attack, damaging and inflicting allies with Entanglement and Imprisonment.

The return of one of Honkai: Star Rail's oldest bosses comes as multiple details about the "Apocalyptic Shadow" mode have already surfaced. The Apocalyptic Shadow game mode is said to feature special restrictions, preventing players from changing their teams or using healing items. The game mode is also said to grant unique buffs similar to the Simulated Universe, likely offering bonuses to teams built around specific playstyles. The Apocalyptic Shadow will debut in Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.3, currently expected to release on June 18.

With multiple new game modes launching during Version 2.3, the Honkai: Star Rail update will introduce multiple highly-anticipated characters.
