Jingliu is the first 5-star Destruction character in Honkai: Star Rail, and she offers excellent damage as a DPS unit in all combat scenarios with very little drawbacks if supported properly. She's capable of clearing the most difficult of content with relative ease, but players will need to invest a lot in her if they want to reach that point.

Players who have been yearning for an AoE Ice damage dealer in Honkai: Star Rail have a lot to gain from pulling Jingliu, but she only shines if she's equipped with the best Light Cones and Relic sets in the game. Here's how to build her for maximum power.

There are a lot of options for Jingliu when it comes to preferred Light Cones and Relic sets, and there's a very specific way to build her stats as well. Here's a breakdown of each section to shed some light on why these choices were made.
Jingliu Light Cones
I Shall Be On My Own Sword is hands-down the best Light Cone for Jingliu out of all possible options so far. It increases her CRIT DMG and ATK while also granting periodic percentage DEF Ignore for a single attack. All of these combined sends Jingliu's damage output through the roof in a way that no other Light Cone does.
On The Fall of An Aeon is the second best option here because it can crank Jingliu's ATK stat up significantly. Additionally, it can be purchased from Herta's Simulated Universe store, making it very easy to reach S5 with.
The remaining three Light Cones are good by virtue of their direct damage bonuses. Brighter Than The Sun, the signature Light Cone of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, allows players to build more CRIT DMG on Jingliu's Relic set, making it a good pick for players who don't have the perfect Relics yet.
Best Jingliu Relics and Stat Priorities
The two best Relic sets for Jingliu are Hunter of Glacial Frost and Genius of Brilliant Stars. The former buffs the wearer's CRIT DMG for two turns after using their ultimate while the latter allows its wearer to ignore up to 20% of a target's DEF. Since Jingliu can increase her ATK by triggering her Talent, sets like Wild Wheat lose some of their value.
As for Relic stats, players should only build up to 50% CRIT Rate on a maxed-out Jingliu as her Talent grants her up to 50% more CRIT Rate when active. After achieving this sweet spot, focus on building 134 SPD and as much CRIT DMG as possible while getting a few sprinkles of ATK as well. Players who are still working on getting level 10 Talent on Jingliu should aim for around 60% CRIT Rate.
Keep in mind that while reaching 100% CRIT Rate isn't required, it is still recommended. Players are free to play around their crit ratios until they start hitting satisfactory damage numbers.
Jingliu Trace Priorities
For Jingliu's Traces, focus on leveling her Skill up first. This is her main source of damage, and players will gain the most value from their spent resources if they invest in this first. Then, work towards upgrading her Ultimate before investing in the Talent and Basic Attack.
Crescent Transmigration, Jingliu's Talent, grants her 40% CRIT Rate at level 1, and it increases by 1% per level. Spending resources to an extra point of CRIT Rate and extra damage based on Jingliu's base ATK is usually not worth it. The materials and money are better spent on unlocking her CRIT DMG nodes as well as her three major Traces.
