Yukong is a buffer in Honkai: Star Rail with massive buff value, but this great effect is highly limited and players must properly strategize to get the most out of its worth. Fortunately, building Yukong isn’t as crucial as strategizing the team’s movements. This is mostly because Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 still has limited equipment, so players can simply make do with what they have.

Yukong’s buff doesn’t scale off her own stat, so players can opt to make her a damage dealer or a tank based on their needs. To summarize, here’s what Trailblazers need to know about Yukong build in Honkai: Star Rail.

Yukong Best Relics In Honkai: Star Rail

yukong best relics in honkai star rail

There are only a limited number of Relic sets in Honkai: Star Rail, so there are no fully-suitable sets for Yukong. Players can use 4pc Wastelander of Banditry Desert to increase Imaginary DMG; 4pc Thief of Shooting Meteor for a weakness breaker build. Imaginary’s weakness break has one of the lowest damage, and it also deals no DoT damage, but increasing Break Effect can further delay the enemy’s turn on top of slowing them; 4pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat to boost SPD and Basic Attack DMG; or 4pc Guard of Wuthering Snow to increase Yukong’s survivability.

For Planar Ornament, 2pc Fleet of the Ageless is the top option to increase the team’s ATK and Yukong’s HP, but other sets like Inert Salsotto, Sprightly Vonwacq, and Talia: Kingdom of Banditry are all viable if players compose the rest of their Relics correctly.

Yukong Best Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail

But the Battle Isn’t Over is a great Light Cone for Harmony characters. For Yukong, players must tune their SPD so that the DPS’s turn comes right after Yukong, which will significantly utilize the weapon’s passive. One thing worth noting is that Yukong’s Ultimate may not be considered as "using their Ultimate on an ally" since it simply increases Bowstring’s effect, so the Skill Point restoration will not occur. For other setups like the DoT team, Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds can be a better option. In a DoT team, instead of aiming for Yukong to move first, she should move last. This way, the team’s ATK will be boosted when the enemy starts moving and takes DoT DMG.

For a mono-Imaginary team like the Silver Wolf’s team comp in Honkai: Star Rail, Planetary Rendezvous is a decent option. Meanwhile, Chorus is a great weapon for new players as it unconditionally increases the team’s ATK by 12%.

Yukong Trace Priority In Honkai: Star Rail

yukong trace priority in honkai star rail

Yukong’s Trace priority in Honkai: Star Rail is:

  1. Skill = Ultimate
  2. Basic Attack
  3. Talent

Yukong’s ATK buff appears from her Skill, while Crit Rate and Crit DMG buff come from her Ultimate. However, because her Crit buff won’t exist without her Skill’s Roaring Bowstring stacks being present, the Skill takes slight precedence over Ultimate.

Although she’s a support, Yukong’s damage-dealing Basic Attack and Talent shouldn’t be ignored. Yukong deals extra Imaginary DMG on her Basic Attack, and the Toughness reducing effect is also boosted, which means, despite lacking damage ability from her Skill, she can still help with her Basic Attack when casting Skill is not possible.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
