In order to build Black Swan with the best options available in Honkai: Star Rail, players must understand her mechanics. While building her is easy, her mechanics are not. She can be considered an enabler who spreads DoTs all over the battlefield, allowing other units that benefit from such debuffs to shine.

Best Black Swan Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
As a Nihility unit in Honkai: Star Rail, Black Swan relies on her debuff, specifically DoT, to beat her opponents. For that, it’s best to build Black Swan with 4pc of Prisoner in Deep Confinement. It increases Black Swan’s ATK by 12% and allows her to ignore enemies’ DEF based on how many DoTs are on them. It’s so easy for Black Swan to inflict those DoT, so she can maximize that effect immediately. As for Planar Ornaments, many Relics work on Black Swan, but the best can be either 2pc of Firmament Frontline: Glamoth or 2pc of Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise. Firmament grants Black Swan extra ATK% and DMG% based on her SPD, which is something she really needs. On the other hand, Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise increases her Effect Hit Rate and ATK%, and that’s also something she needs.
As for other Relics options, Black Swan heavily depends on the constant casting of her Ultimate to keep her Epiphany effect active at all times. For that, the 25% action Advanced Forward effect on the 4pc of Eagle of Twilight Line could come in extremely handy. Not to mention, the Relic set also has 12% extra Wind DMG. If you don’t have Prisoner or Eagle sets, you can opt for 4pc of Genius of Brilliant Stars as it ignores enemies’ DEF. It works as a timely replacement until you farm the best Relics for Black Swan in Honkai: Star Rail.
For less important Planar Ornaments that work on Black Swan, you can go for 2pc of Penacony, Land of the Dreams, and 2pc of Space Sealing Station. Penacony is more of a universal Supportive set that helps Black Swan Energy regeneration in addition to slightly helping her team DMG. As for Space Sealing Station, it increases her ATK by up to 24%, which can be very useful for her DoT DMG.
If you’re desperate and don’t have any of the previously mentioned Relic sets, then go for any 2pc Relics that grant her ATK%, Wind DMG%, or SPD. That should be enough to help her hold her own until a better option comes along. For the best Black Swan Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail, she works best with Reforged Remembrance, her signature weapon that grants her tons of Effect Hit Rate, DoT DMG, and ATK%. For other 5-star options, Solitary Healing works well with Black Swan since it boosts her DoT DMG and improves her Energy regeneration. But, it’s not better than some 4-star options like Eyes of the Prey, especially at S5, since it will also grant Black Swan a huge boost to her Effect Hit Rate and DoT DMG.
