Honkai Impact 3rd has revealed more details about the game's massive "Part 2" update set to arrive next year, bringing the adventure to a new planet with revamped combat. The original flagship title from Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has seen plenty of hype building around the game's upcoming content. The RPG would recently debut the highly-anticipated Herrscher of Rebirth, the Herrscher form of fan-favorite character Seele, and has been teasing the major Part 2 update set to come next year. Now, HoYoverse is pulling back the curtain on the plethora of new content with Part 2.
While HoYoverse's other flagship titles in Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail typically feature numbered updates with big additions, Honkai Impact 3rd's Part 2 is set to completely overhaul the game. The developer has already teased Honkai Impact 3rd's Part 2 update will add an entirely new planet to the game with players traveling to Mars. The game has also teased major updates to its gameplay for the beginning of the second act of Honkai Impact 3rd's story. Now, HoYoverse CEO Dawei has given players their first look at the massive update.

Honkai Impact 3rd's newest update will bring players away from the game's central setting on the Earth and Moon and transport them to Mars. The transition to Mars will feature new environments for players to explore, introducing a completely new original cast to the game as well as unique NPCs. Honkai Impact 3rd's Part 2 update is expected to arrive in February 2024.

Honkai Impact 3rd's massive update arriving in February comes following significant events for each of its flagship games. Genshin Impact officially released its fifth major region last month, introducing the France-inspired region of Fontaine to the RPG. HoYoverse would also launch its newest game earlier this year with Honkai: Star Rail debuting to roaring success in April, amassing tens of millions of downloads within just two days. Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 will look to make major changes and completely overhaul the gameplay experience for HoYoverse's longest-running game.
