As fans wait for more information about Hollow Knight: Silksong, all of the released footage has been subject to analysis. This means that, even if Team Cherry has not shared details about its upcoming game in a while, fans have extracted a lot of information. Thanks to the spread in Edge Magazine, along with the trailer, demo, and blog posts about Hollow Knight: Silksong, there are many details about the game that are available to fans even though they do not have a confirmed release date yet.

Team Cherry's first game, Hollow Knight, has become one of the best Metroidvania titles because of its gameplay, lore, and overall design. Even though there will definitely be some similarities between Silksong and its predecessor, the upcoming game will feature many changes including more complex characters. Even the main character itself, Hornet, is significantly different from the Knight which was the last game's playable character. Additionally, many of the mechanics in Silksong will differ from what the players saw in Hollow Knight which means that even fans of the previous installment will have a lot to discover in Team Cherry's upcoming title.

So far, Team Cherry has revealed seven bosses in the upcoming Hollow Knight: Silksong. Since this new game will be set in a completely different scenario than Hollow Knight, bosses will most likely have a personality of their own since they are not infected. Although some of them do not have a clear backstory yet like Moss Mother or Last Judge. However, the other five bosses seem to come with their own quests and motivations. As of the moment in which this article was written, the revealed bosses include Hunter Queen Carmelita, Lace, Steel Assassin Sharpe, Seth, and Trobbio.

Even though there has been a lack of updates from Team Cherry's end, some of the bosses are already familiar to Hollow Knight fans. For instance, Lace seems to be one of the most studied bosses from Silksong. Thanks to the Silksong footage that has been released so far, fans have been able to take note of Lace's attack techniques, the location where she can be found, and even the fact that she refers to Hornet as "little spider", similarly to how Hornet called the Knight "little shadow" in the first game.

The Hollow Knight: Silksong demo revealed some of the enemies Hornet will be facing throughout Pharloom as well. Unfortunately, the name of enemies in Team Cherry's new game is unknown. Nonetheless, fans have glanced at a total of 47 enemies so far. Just as in Hollow Knight, enemies range from small beings that are easily defeatable to more complex ones that may take a while to kill.

Thankfully, Hornet will not only have to fight other beings in order to get to the Citadel. Hollow Knight: Silksong will also have friendly NPCs that will help Hornet in her quest. These include merchants with whom Hornet can exchange rosaries or beads, wanderers, and other NPCs whose role in the game is still a mystery. One of the most notorious merchants is Shakra, who seems to be taking the place of Cornifer in this game. Shakra seems to be the cartographer of Silksong which means it will be a recurring character throughout the game.

The new game will also recover one of the most beloved quests in Hollow Knight: finding grubs. However, instead of looking for chubby caterpillars, Hornet will be setting free some cute fleas that will be scattered through Pharloom. The role of the grub father will be taken by the Caravan which seems to be a group of friendly creatures trying to find the fleas and set them free. Hopefully, the fleas will have a better fate than the grubs did.

It also seems like wanderers will appear several times throughout the game as they have their own quests in Pharloom. So far, there are three revealed wanderers: Garmond and Zaza, Sherma, and Trobbio. The latter is supposed to engage in combat with Hornet at some point since it was introduced as one of the bosses, but will most likely become a friendly character at some point. This system will be similar to the Bell Beast's who starts off as one of Hornet's foe, but is tamed to become the mean of transportation in Silksong.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is currently in development for PC and Switch.
