Throughout the landscape of Hallownest, players will find benches. These benches are key checkpoints in Hollow Knight that allow players to create a respawn spot should they die or quit the game, replenish all health, and equip or unequip Charms. It is critical to know the locations of benches should players be low on health or need to end their gameplay.

13 Dirtmouth

the bench outside Dirtmouth in Hollow Knight

There is only one bench located in Dirtmouth, and it is the first one players will interact with in the game. Players will need to make their way through King's Pass before they come across this bench.

Right before they see the bench, they'll come across an NPC named Elderbug. They can interact with him if they choose to before moving on to the bench.

12 The Forgotten Crossroads

  • The Forgotten Crossroads Stag Station.
  • The Ancestral Mound.

  • Greenpath's Stag Station.
  • Lake of Unn.
  • On the descent toward Fog Canyon, there is a room with Moss Chargers. Players will need to pass that room to the next, where there's a hole on the right side that has a bench inside in the right entrance.

7 Crystal Peak

the Knight and Cornifer in Hollow Knight

  • In the room beyond the room with the conveyor belts to the right.
  • The room with the Crystal Guardian.

6 Resting Grounds

the Resting Grounds in Hollow Knight

The Resting Grounds features one bench. It's at a key location where players will begin one of the most challenging side quests in the game.

Players can find this bench by starting in the room with a chest that gives Geo and has both a breakable wall and ceiling. They'll need to break the ceiling and proceed up, walk left, then go up once again. Next, they'll need to head right, where they'll find a massive structure with a bench next to it.
