Hogwarts Legacy has launched to rave reviews and commercial success, but there are still some quality of life improvements players would like to see made to the open world Harry Potter action-RPG. Hogwarts Legacy has received just one update since launch, aimed at improving the game's performance on stability on the PC and Xbox platforms specifically, though more updates are certainly on the way.

Hogwarts Legacy has a ton of potential for DLC, though Avalanche Software has yet to reveal any plans it might have when it comes to expanding the game. With how vast the Harry Potter universe is, there are a lot of directions that Hogwarts Legacy could go in when it comes to post-launch content.

While most fans may be more interested in substantial DLC that expands on the Hogwarts Legacy experience, others may be interested in quality of life improvements that make the game better to play. Reddit user Legatto recently shared their list of ideas for HogwartS Legacy quality of life improvements in a post that garnered 1.4 thousand upvotes. Their suggestions include an option to sell or buy all, automatic Alohomora that skips the lock-picking mini-game, and much more.

Some of the other suggestions made by Legatto include a chance to how players pet cats in Hogwarts Legacy so it isn't a cutscene every time, custom markers for the open world, and the ability to navigate the menu with the d-pad and not just by using the cursor. The Hogwarts Legacy Field Guide serves as the game's menu system, and there have been some complaints that it's slower to navigate than menus in other games because of its use of a cursor.

Other Reddit users chimed in on the post with their own suggestions for how Avalanche Software could improve Hogwarts Legacy in future updates. One popular suggestion was to give Hogwarts Legacy players the ability to pause cutscenes. While there is a trick to pausing cutscenes in Hogwarts Legacy, it's much less convenient than if the game simply had the option to do so by pressing start like many other games do nowadays.

Besides the suggestions listed here, something else mans fans of the game have asked to see is the ability to change seasons in Hogwarts Legacy. Hogwarts Legacy takes players through an entire year at the school, so there are some sections where the castle is decorated for Halloween and another for Christmas. These decorations go away as Hogwarts Legacy players progress through the story, though many would like the chance to see them added back.

It's unclear if Avalanche plans on implementing any of these suggested changes to Hogwarts Legacy, but fans can still count on the game getting at least some updates in the weeks and months ahead.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X with PS4 and Xbox One versions releasing April 4 and a Nintendo Switch port dropping July 25.
