It's confirmed players will be able to swim in Hogwarts Legacy based on a video that's been released recently. Fans have wondered about how extensively they'll be able to interact with their environment in Hogwarts Legacy and this video answers a few more questions.Hogwarts Legacy will be released in a little over two weeks, but fans still have plenty of questions about the ways they'll be able to explore the world around the wizarding school. Swimming has been one of those unclear details as some wondered if their characters will be able to dive underwater and cast spells that way or whether characters will be able to dip in the water at all. Avalanche Software is proud to give relative free rein to players to traverse Hogwarts however they wish and now fans will know more about the mechanics around swimming.RELATED: Hogwarts Legacy Lets Players Use Mandrakes as a WeaponA short clip has been released on Twitter, showing a player character jumping into the water fully clothed and taking off swimming across the Black Lake. The character is shown swimming past Hogwarts and specifically past the beautiful Boathouse Harry Potter fans will recognize all too well from the films. As for the mechanics, the animation is smooth and shows how a moving body interacts with the water as well as how the graphics handle the interaction. The viewer can see the character swim from different angles, and see how the water ripples and sparkles with each stroke. Sadly, this doesn't give any further answers about the possibility of diving underwater just yet or how deep players might be able to explore the Black Lake in Hogwarts Legacy.

There have been some interesting comments under the post, a fan wondering whether elemental spells will be able to interact with the environment, as it would be interesting to see someone use a frost spell and be able to walk on water as a result. Some had simpler questions about whether the character's clothes will be dripping when they get out of the water. Plenty of fans also mentioned the welcome upgrade from previous Harry Potter games where a character would just die by simply standing in water.

Fans are very eager to start exploring the wizarding world for themselves and so far it seems they will have a variety of ways to do so. Avalanche Software has been very forthcoming about plenty of aspects of the game and fans have two more weeks to see if the studio will keep some elements of the gameplay a mystery.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
