Even the Ravenclaw Common Room, which makes up the tiniest of fractions of the illustrious wizarding school, cannot have all of its secrets revealed at once. This is especially true of seasonal decorations as well as random interactions, which may only occur once or twice in an entire playthrough. With the game finally releasing on the Nintendo Switch and plenty of people receiving the game for Christmas, a new wave of want-to-be wizards and witches are just settling into their new home in Ravenclaw Tower, and they may encounter some interesting secrets during their stay.

The developers have done a great job of decorating Hogwarts with hundreds, if not thousands, of paintings, and one of the most beautiful is hidden within the Ravenclaw Common Room. This painting of the Hogwarts Express crossing a gorgeous bridge in the countryside is found halfway down the dormitory stairs, and if players don't look up on their way to the bathroom, they will miss it.

14 A Gobstones Board

Gobstones is a wizarding game that is mentioned in the Harry Potter books, and one side mission in Hogwarts Legacy, Gobs of Gobstones, also has players try to find individual gobstones that have been hidden around the castle.
If players want to see what board this game is played on, then they will find a Gobstones board on the top floor of the Ravenclaw Common Room. There is also a chessboard on the top floor, meaning Ravenclaws would have a few ways to pass the time once they finished their studies.

Throughout the game, players will notice many Quidditch posters plastered on the walls, and the Ravenclaw Common Room is no different. They can be found on the noticeboard and on the walls next to certain beds inside the dormitories.

There are many ghosts to be found in Hogwarts Legacy, from the nameless spirits playing catch with their heads in the Hogsmeade graveyard and those dancing in the Deathday Party Room to the ghostly characters who play a part in the main story or side quests.
Ravenclaw's house ghost, the Grey Lady, who was once known as Helena Ravenclaw, doesn't have any of her own voice lines, but she can be found serenely gliding through the Ravenclaw Common Room. Fans of the Harry Potter books and films will know that Helena Ravenclaw is the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, and she has arguably one of the most interesting and tragic backstories out of all the ghosts. There is a random interaction that only triggers at night, where players will happen upon a student studying late at night on the floor of the Ravenclaw Common Room.
The scene is rather cozy, with the student comfortably lying down with their books, a light, and their magical necessities spread out around them. Whether they are squeezing in some extracurricular studies or catching up on overdue homework is unclear, but it is hard to argue that rare interactions like this make the game feel more alive.

One of the best things about Hogwarts Legacy is how, as the school year progresses and players make their way through the story, the seasons change. The pleasure of seeing the Scottish Highlands draped in Autumn hues or blanketed with snow is only matched by the changes inside Hogwarts itself.

On the right-hand side, there is a range of bathtubs perfect for cleaning up after an adventure in the Forbidden Forest, and thankfully, each cubicle has a curtain for privacy, too. In the middle are sinks that players can interact with to make the taps run. The toilets inside the cubicles on the left-hand side can also be flushed, allowing for an extra level of immersion.

In the last Harry Potter book, Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem plays an integral part in the plot, and Harry actually goes to the Ravenclaw Common Room to look at the statue of this particular Hogwarts founder.
This statue has been perfectly recreated in Hogwarts Legacy, allowing players to see exactly what Harry will go on to see over a century later. The depiction of the diadem sits proudly on Rowena Ravenclaw's head in elegant white marble, looking out across the entire common room.

While one such bust is found in the common room underneath a large tapestry of the eagle associated with the house, many other similar busts can be found throughout the game, including two in the Faculty Tower of Professor Black and Nearly Headless Nick. One of the funniest interactions in Hogwarts Legacy actually involves these two busts, so when players find them, they may want to keep returning.
3 Suits Of Armor Guarding The Dorms
Found In The Middle Of The Main Floor
While most Ravenclaws will have spotted these two suits of armor guarding a flight of stairs, not everyone will know the reason for their presence. When nobody is around, their weapons will be raised; however, when the player steps too close, the suits lower their weapons, forming a barrier.
This is because the staircase leads to the dormitories in which the player doesn't reside. In other words, for those playing as a wizard, the entrance to the witches' dorms will be blocked and vice versa. In the books, Harry and Ron are stopped by a similar enchantment when trying to get to Hermione's room in Gryffindor Tower.

The ceilings found throughout the Ravenclaw Common Room are beautifully decorated with intricate depictions of astrology in gold. What players with a keener eye will notice is that Latin words of a scholarly nature can also be found on the ceiling.

1 The Balcony
Found By Climbing The Stairs On The Top Floor Or By Flying There
One of the best things about the Ravenclaw common room is that it has a rooftop balcony that no other house gets. This terrace is the perfect place to relax after a stressful night of potions homework and provides Ravenclaws with a unique view of the castle.
To access the balcony, players must have learned the Alohomora spell, as the door to it is locked. Players can also land on the balcony from their broom, providing them with an easy way to get back to bed after late-night excursions.
