Hogwarts Legacy has released fresh gameplay that show's the game fire spell, known as Incendio in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter franchise, in action. Hogwarts Legacy features a wide variety of spells that players will be able to utilize while exploring the open world action-RPG for themselves.

Most of the gameplay footage shown so far has focused on how players can utilize Hogwarts Legacy spells in combat. Just recently, a clip was released that showed a Hogwarts Legacy spell that turns enemies into chickens, and players have also seen quite a bit of footage of wizard duels as well. However, spells in Hogwarts Legacy will have more uses beyond fighting, as illustrated in the Incendio clip.

The Hogwarts Legacy Incendio video is only eight seconds long, but it does a good job of showing the uses of the fire spell. In the first video, the Hogwarts Legacy player character is exploring what appears to be a dungeon area, and they cast Incendio on a torch to create more light. In the second clip, the player is taking on a magical beast poacher, and they have him suspended in midair. While the enemy is immobilized, the player blasts them with a hit from Incendio. And finally, the last clip shows how players can use Incendio to get rid of obstacles, like a large spiderweb that may be blocking their path.

It's clear from this clip that Incendio is going to be one of the most useful spells in Hogwarts Legacy, though it seems players can get creative when it comes to which spells they want to use in the game. For example, instead of lighting the torch with Incendio as was seen in the first clip, players could presumably use the Lumos spell to light their way instead. And of course, players will have all kinds of options when it comes to which spells they use in combat, though Incendio does seem like it will be particularly powerful.

If players want to go to the dark side, they can utilize the Unforgivable Curses in Hogwarts Legacy, though doing so may have consequences. Players should have many other spells from the Harry Potter franchise at their disposal as well, so players should have no issue playing the game exactly how they want to play it. Luckily, the wait is almost over for Harry Potter fans to discover the full arsenal of spells they'll be able to cast in Hogwarts Legacy as the game's release date is right around the corner.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and a Nintendo Switch version dropping on July 25.
