A Hogwarts Legacy player has shown off a funny glitch where they die in mid-air and get stuck on the broom as it flies away. Hogwarts Legacy's flight was widely praised upon its release, although this glitch was definitely not an intended feature.

A month after the game's release, it's good to see Hogwarts Legacy players still enjoying all the quirks the game has to offer. Much was made of the J.K Rowling controversy prior to Hogwarts Legacy's release, with many choosing to boycott the game due to her comments on the transgender community. Strong sales for Hogwarts Legacy have seen Avalanche Software's efforts to distance itself from Rowling's comments paying off, with many able to enjoy the game while separating the art from the artist.

The glitch was posted to Reddit by user Goodmandnb, with an image that shows the player dangling from the side of the broom. It's definitely an interesting sight, with the character's limp corpse somehow staying on. While the Redditor claims they died trying to fly away, it's unclear what conditions made this exact glitch happen, and whether it could be replicated. Fans have been finding lots of interesting bugs in the game recently, with one glitch causing players to go invisible in Hogwarts Legacy.

Gamers in the comment section of the post made plenty of jokes about the glitch, with one user suggesting it would be perfect if they were flying on the Cedric Diggory "broom" mod for Hogwarts Legacy. Others took the opportunity to make fun of the game itself, with another saying "Me after finally completing the 95th Merlin trial," which are commonly seen as one of the more tedious elements of the game.

Despite these types of glitches existing in the game, it hasn't stopped players from playing an absurd amount of the game. Hogwarts Legacy recently released stats on playing time for the game, and with 406 million combined hours played, it's safe to say a few glitches are practically meaningless for most gamers. That number could rise enormously if Avalanche Software decides to release DLC for the title, although right now that doesn't seem to be in the works. However, given the strong sales of the game and how much noise fans are making, that's a position that very well could change in the future.

Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox One versions launching May 5 and a Switch port releasing July 25.
