Oddly enough, the latest major development for Hogwarts Legacy is the reveal of the jump mechanic. For several months, players have raised the question of whether jumping was possible since the trailers and teaser information only showed off fighting and dodging. Apparently, even the Hogwarts Legacy developer took notice and used Twitter to finally provide the answer.Hogwarts Legacy is an action-RPG set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Its storyline puts a new spin on things, however, as it takes place in the 1800s. Set to release early next year, the action game shows a glimpse of the past to players and fans of the franchise as they explore the open-world setting. Players will tend to magical beasts, make friends, and master other various skills as they solve the mysteries behind an ancient threat to the Wizarding World. The game has also been teased in a variety of unique ways recently, including in an ASMR ambiance style. There have been many successful games that had no jumping feature at all. Many fans were worried that not having the ability to jump would severely restrict general game controls or make major Hogwarts Legacy gameplay activities, such as broom riding, difficult to do. Fortunately, the small clip of a character jumping released on the game’s official Twitter was enough for fans to take a sigh of relief.

With each gameplay reveal the Hogwarts Legacy developer has given a closer sneak peek at what to expect from the title, and it looks exciting. From the tiniest Hogwarts details to the gorgeous visuals, fans have expressed positive reception to the game’s approach to the magical Harry Potter universe so far. It also helps that Hogwarts Legacy promos have been also presented in creative ways that further show off the dedication of the team behind the game.

With each new announcement, the game looks promising and might prove to be an excellent installment to the franchise. The previously released Hogwarts Legacy teaser video of the soundtrack shows that the musical essence and magical vibes of the films will be there, and gameplay footage has caused a lot of positive speculation. Now, with the revelation of the new gameplay mechanic, other gameplay abilities are possible that just haven't been shown yet. With all that in mind, fans will have to wait and see how it compares to previous games from the franchise.

Hogwarts Legacy releases on February 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development.
