Becoming a witch or a wizard is no easy task, but thanks to the magic of being a fifth-year student in Hogwarts Legacy, the player has the unfair advantage of seeing ancient magic, and a Room of Requirement to hone their skills. The ability to see ancient magic gives the player “Talents,” which are points that allow the player to give their character further bonuses as they level up in Hogwarts Legacy.

One of these “talent” trees involves the Room of Requirement, which delves into making potions more effective and powerful and increasing the greatness of combat items such as Mandrakes. However, since these Talent levels shouldn’t be wasted, many might want to know the best Room of Requirement talents in Hogwarts Legacy.

8 Invisibility Potion Potency

Potions are an important aspect of the life of a witch or wizard, and Hogwarts Legacy reinforces that idea by allowing players to create a mixture of potions from different ingredients. One of these potions is the invisibility potion, which makes the user practically invisible. This is heightened with the Invisibility Potion Potency talent, unlocked at Level 5.

This is a talent that should be left behind, as the Invisibility Potion Potency skill will only increase the amount of time the player remains invisible before the potion runs out. It doesn’t last long, and the Disillusionment spell does it for free anyway.

7 Noxious

The Venemous Tentacula is a combat tool that can be useful in the hands of a talented witch or wizard. At level 22, the Venemous Tentacula can be a greater ally, thanks to the Noxious talent. This will allow the deadly plant to deal additional damage with its attacks, and to break the shields of enemies.

Although the fact that this plant turret can shoot away pesky shields, it still does not solve the issue of its lack of movement. The plant fires its shots slowly, and cannot move on a large battlefield, making it obsolete when the player is in an intense fight.

6 Headache

Mandrakes are not to be trifled with if one does not have appropriate ear defenders. These shrieking plants will release an ear-bursting cry that can stun and deafen anyone within its radius, which is why it is perfect for a mischievous fifth-year student to use against their enemies in Hogwarts Legacy.

At level 16, players can unlock the Headache talent, which will increase the damage and duration of the incapacitating effect that Mandrakes have when they are used by the player. It’s a useful combat tool for getting enemies away or stunning them momentarily. Mandrakes are also easily obtained thanks to Hogsmeade's fun shops.

5 Fertiliser

Chinese Chomping Cabbages are a great method of distraction and evening the odds. Since players will often find themselves overwhelmed with a multitude of enemies trying to stop them, the Chinese Chomping Cabbage can be used to bring in more allies on the side of the fifth-year Hogwarts student.

With the Fertiliser level 5 talent, if the player throws a Chinese Chomping Cabbage, a second one will be generated, and spawn onto the battlefield for no additional cost. This means that throwing one Chinese Chomping Cabbage throws two for the price of one, allowing them to hop and bite more enemies.

4 Focus Potion Potency

The Focus potion will help in allowing players to excel in their spellcasting abilities. By drinking a focus potion, players will have their cooldowns reduced on their spells, allowing them to unleash devastating combos and powerful strikes and spells toward their foes.

By using Focus Potion Potency unlocked at level 22, players can increase the duration of the Focus potion, as long as they are using any spell from the same set while the potion was used. This may restrict the usage of the potion, but paired correctly, it can unleash devastation.

3 Edurus Potion Potency

Turning into solid rock never seems like a good idea, but thanks to the magical properties in Hogwarts Legacy, it seems as if this is merely a great effect that will grant the wizard or witch that drinks the Edurus potion temporary invulnerability.

To increase the potency and power of the Edurus potion, the level 5 talent, Ederus Potion Potency will allow players to withstand even more damage in this rock form, and to deflect projectiles thrown at them back into enemies, making them a walking shield for a short time.

2 Thunderbrew Potency

Potions are a mystical oddity in Hogwarts Legacy, and the Thunderbrew potion certainly deserves a mention on that list. With the Level 22 talent of Thunderbrew Potency, players will have a far greater range and extended damage from the potion, as it unleashes devastating lightning strikes on the enemies below.

Thunderbrew is best used when overwhelmed, which can happen in many combat situations. Fights that involve groups of spiders, witches, wizards, or goblins are bound to make the player feel overwhelmed, which is why Thunderbrew Potency is a great assistance to striking enemies down, especially in the many side quests in Hogwarts Legacy.

1 Maxima Potion Potency

There’s nothing wrong with wanting more power. Potions are great for witches and wizards to further excel in their caliber, and to boast of greater power than what they possess without the assistance of magical drinks.

With the level 16 talent of Maxima Potion Potency, players will deal an increased amount of damage and break enemy shields with ease. This is a great talent for those that enjoy potions in Hogwarts Legacy, as they will feel the power surge through their wand.

Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One ports are scheduled to release on April 4. The Nintendo Switch version is arriving on July 25, 2023.
