Hogwarts Legacy has finally added a photo mode, with plenty of extra features for gamers to play around with.

There is no shortage of beautiful locations in Hogwarts Legacy to make the most out of Photo Mode, and even inside Hogwarts alone, players could spend hours taking breathtaking pictures.

1 Hogsmeade In Winter

The Snow On The Rooftops & Christmas Decor Make For A Cozy Scene

  • Filter: Frozen
  • Nearest Floo Flame: South Hogsmeade

Hogsmeade is charming and cozy any time of the year, but there's no beating the snow on the steep tiled roofs and the Christmas wreaths of Hogsmeade in winter. In Photo Mode, players can temporarily change the season, allowing them to take some cozy screenshots of the wizarding village whenever they like.

It's hard to go wrong when looking for angles and places of interest in Hogsmeade, and players can either position the camera up high above the building or go for an immersive view down on the cobbled streets. The Frozen filter works great, and so does the Canvas one.

2 Inside Ollivanders Wand Shop

Positioning The Camera Up High Offers A Previously Unseen View

  • Filter: Dusty
  • Nearest Floo Flame: South Hogsmeade

Before the introduction of Photo Mode in Hogwarts Legacy, players could only see using the game's third-person camera. Now, however, they can fly into corners and take pictures from new angles; shops and classrooms being great locations to try this out.

Arguably, no shop in Hogsmeade better captures the aesthetic of the world of Harry Potter than Ollivanders Wand Shop, which looks even more atmospheric with a Dusty or Somber filter. A high view of the stacked shelves of wand boxes certainly invokes a sense of nostalgia from the first film.

3 The Map Chamber

This Map Looks Stunning From Every Angle

  • Nearest Floo Flame: Secret Rooms, The Map Chamber

During the course of the main questline, players will often visit the Map Chamber, where they will talk to the portraits of former Hogwarts professors. Unlike other locations around the castle that are seen in the movies, the Map Chamber is unique to Hogwarts Legacy.

The three-dimensional map which sits beneath the floor and glows blue is stunning from every angle, and players can go up high or down low to take pictures. If they are in the room just before a mission or during one, they could even include a distant shot of their character about to talk to one of the portraits.

4 The Library

Sunlight Streaking Across Bookcases Is Exceedingly Beautiful

As with most grand libraries, Hogwarts' library is a feat of architecture and design and is one of many locations perfect for taking screenshots. With sunlight sometimes seeping in from the tall windows, fans will want to play around with the time of the day.

They will also want to scroll through the different filters, with Dusty, Somber, and Black and White all great ones to try out. The dark green Slytherin filter can also offer a view reminiscent of some of the Tom Riddle flashbacks in The Half-Blood Prince film.

5 The Transfiguration Courtyard

This Iconic Location Is Perfect For The Character To Pose

Hogwarts is not just a school, but a home, and as such, there are many places of leisure around the castle for students to relax with their friends. The iconic courtyard near the Transfiguration classroom is one such location, and here players can take advantage of the new sitting poses introduced with Photo Mode.

With a summer sun shining down on the vibrant green grass, the courtyard with a tree at the center, and fantastic architecture all around, it's hard to go wrong when capturing this area of the Hogwarts exterior.

6 The Prefect's Bathroom

The Sunlight Reflecting On The Water Makes For Pretty Pictures

  • Filter: Higher Saturation & Contrast
  • Nearest Floo Flame: The South Wing, The Hospital Wing

While not one of Hogwarts Legacy's secret locations, the Prefect's Bathroom just beneath the Hospital Wing is certainly situated in one of the more secluded parts of the castle. It also happens to be jaw-droppingly beautiful and is more reflective of the description from the books.

With light streaming in and reflecting off the water, there is ample opportunity for some great photos here, especially with all the colors in this bathroom. The mermaid on the wall, the window, or the water itself can all serve as focal points, and players can tweak the contrast, saturation, and exposure values to produce some interesting effects.

7 The Grand Staircase

The Unique Architecture & Hundreds Of Portraits Make For Interesting Screenshots

The Grand Staircase in Hogwarts Legacy is circular, rather than square as it was depicted in the movies, and while some fans like this change and others less so, there's no debate that this is still a great location to take pictures.
