“An officer’s hat for authoritative fighters, earned by completing dueling feats.” Roleplaying in Hogwarts Legacy is commonplace, especially when the game allows players to start their journey into Hogwarts as a student, a dream of many that enjoy the magic of the franchise. However, if players want to do more than just run around in the robes of a student, then perhaps the Officer’s Hat will help.
This headwear piece of gear will give players the appearance of someone who upholds the law. After the main story, perhaps players that wear this could patrol Hogsmeade, or explore other areas around Hogwarts and keep the peace from troublemakers, Ranrok’s goblins, and Ashwinders.

“A top hat for the unmatched prankster of Hogsmeade, earned by collecting Field Guide Pages in Hogsmeade.” Zonko’s is a famous shop in Hogsmeade that every student loves, and every professor despises. It’s the imagination point for all pranks and annoyances, and one that the player might like to divulge.
Zonko’s Chief Prankster Hat should be worn like a crown, and players should treat it with the respect it deserves. The large top hat with its bold blue colors can be used to rival the most annoying of Hogwarts, like Slytherins and Peeves, and will leave students amazed at the boldness of such attire.
4 Dark Flatcap
“A standard dark flat cap for the working witch or wizards.” Flat caps are a rather iconic and popular form of headwear that is still in practice to this day. A flat cap in the wizarding world may not seem out of the ordinary, and neither would it for the Muggle world. The Dark Flatcap is a lovely leather cap that will help the player to blend with their environment outside of Hogwarts.
Not only is the Dark Flatcap pretty stylish for the century that Hogwarts Legacy is set in, but it is also a great headwear piece that will have them feeling like a worker, or perhaps like an English gangster in Birmingham belonging to the Shelby family.
3 Dark Arts Garrison Hat
“A hat was worn by those in touch with the darker side of magic.” Unlike the Ministry of magic, those that are all for the dark arts may proudly wear the Dark Arts Garrison Hat. That is, if they have Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition, or purchase the additional content of the Dark Arts set.
The Dark Arts Garrison Hat fits perfectly with the rest of the Dark Arts outfit, but even on its own it still represents a great piece of gear for Hogwarts Legacy. The hat is dark and sinister, with a moving skull on its design.
2 Black Bowler Hat
“A well-appointed black bowler hat, well suited for serious Ministry business.” For the sophisticated player, or those seeking Ministry aspirations once they graduate from Hogwarts, the Black Bowler Hat is a great place to start.
With this smart and well-rounded hat, players can feel like they have already completed Hogwarts and begin an adventure as a witch or wizard that does not need to turn up to classes. Another roleplay aspect comes from the fact that this is a famed Ministry hat, the organization that takes lawful care of the wizarding world.
1 Spider Slayer Helmet
“A helmet for the bravest killer of arachnids, earned by defeating spiders.” It isn’t entirely controversial to say that not many people like spiders, and Hogwarts Legacy may make some arachnophobes feel squeamish when they need to go through cobwebs and kill spiders. However, the reward is well worth the grossness.
Players will obtain the Spider Slayer Helmet, a great headwear gear that will give them the helmet of a knight. Players will be able to live out their fantasy of a knight with wizard powers, or perhaps just scare other students by pretending to be a sentient suit of armor running amok in Hogwarts.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One ports are scheduled to release on April 4. The Nintendo Switch version is arriving on July 25, 2023.
