A Hogwarts Legacy player has uploaded a video that shows how stunning the visuals are without the HUD. Hogwarts Legacy has impressive graphics, especially when compared to older representations of the Wizarding World. The game holds up not just aesthetically, but also provides one of the most complete experiences ever presented in a Harry Potter title.

Hogwarts Legacy has had rave reviews from critics, not just because of how visually impressive it is but how it presents the characters and the in-game world. Fans of the franchise should feel both amazed and familiar with how the game treats the IP. The development team managed to pull off a faithful recreation and translation of not just Hogwarts as a location, but also with the different characters, settings, and concepts. It lets each player live the life of a Hogwarts student and feel more like they're really part of this world.

One Reddit user uploaded a video that shows how Hogwarts Legacy looks with its HUD turned off. The game looks absolutely gorgeous as if one was watching a real-life representation of the magical world. In fact, the visuals could be mistaken for not being CGI with how fluid the motions are and with how realistic they look. While a few titles have long experimented with ways to turn off any visual indicators that may hinder gameplay, only a few have succeeded in providing an experience that feels very natural. Titles such as Destiny 2, God of War, and Star Wars Squadron allow players to turn off the HUD which helps give the game worlds a whole new context. While HUDs are mostly present to help guide the player, being allowed to remove any indicators creates a more cinematic feel that some gamers wish to experience. With how graphics have mostly improved over the many generations, this allows gamers to feel more completely immersed and absorbed with each game's setting. Hopefully, other games embrace the HUD-less option so that users may become engrossed in the whole journey.

In fact, the developers did such a good job representing the game world, that even actors such as Tom Felton felt right at home upon playing Hogwarts Legacy. It seems that the locations and the characters were so faithful to the source materials that playing the game really hit home for the former Draco Malfoy actor. Now, with players able to turn off UI elements in the HUD, maybe they can also enjoy a new way to live inside of Harry Potter's world.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with a Nintendo Switch version coming November 14.
