With the release of Hogwarts Legacy drawing closer, Avalanche Software and WB Interactive have been offering fresh looks at the staff of Hogwarts and the latest gives a new look at the astronomy professor, Professor Satyavati Shah, who will teach players about the movements of stars and planets. It comes nearly a week after the reveal of Simon Pegg playing the game's headmaster, Phineas Black, the great-great-grandfather of Sirius Black and the least popular headmaster in the school's history. While Black seems to be disinterested in his teaching, though, Avalanche hints Shah will be the opposite and is quite serious about ensuring students will learn everything she has to teach about astronomy.

Hogwarts Legacy is the newest game set inside the Harry Potter universe, taking players back to the 1890s to learn and explore the wizarding school before the days of Dumbledore and Voldemort. Players will take on the role of a new student at Hogwarts, getting the chance to join one of the school's four houses and explore the halls seen in the films and books. However, the student's arrival coincides with the rise of a mysterious, ancient power the student can manipulate and will need to learn about before it tears the wizarding world apart.

As mentioned above, Avalanche has been unveiling Hogwarts' staff working under Headmaster Black ahead of the game's release on February 10, 2023. Professor Shah was among the reveals, set to be portrayed by writer and actor Sohm Kapila, as the school's astronomy professor alongside several other original characters created for the game. The newest screenshot for the game shows Professor Shah in her classroom, hinting at the serious demeanor she has when it comes to her curriculum and her students' work.

Little else has been revealed about Shah or how substantial her role will be in the story or overall game. It has been a common theme since the game was originally announced in September 2020, with Avalanche and Warner Bros. Interactive seemingly keeping their cards close to the chest until closer to the final release date. Players could argue the reason for this approach is due to the game telling a wholly original story inside the Harry Potter universe while only having a handful of characters who only share familial links with some of the universe's characters, such as Professor Matilda Weasley.

That said, Hogwarts is already home to so many secrets hinted at in the original books and films Avalanche could have a field day filling out the universe. It has, in turn, led to plenty of speculation about what else is awaiting players in the game whether it be the reveal an original character, such as Shah, will be linked to known characters or events in the universe or if iconic locations, such as the Chamber of Secrets, will appear in some manner. Only time will tell what secrets have been hidden away inside the wall of Hogwarts by Avalanche and what else the studio has in store following the game's release.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4, and a Switch release dropping July 25.
