Hogwarts Legacy is letting users link their WB Games accounts with their Harry Potter Fan Club accounts to make key decisions in the game before launch, like what House they'll be sorted in and what wand they will purchase from Ollivander's. Hogwarts Legacy is currently scheduled to launch on February 10, 2023, so this account linking should get Harry Potter fans ready for launch well in advance.

Hogwarts Legacy players interested in linking their WB Games and Harry Potter Fan Club accounts can click here to get started on the process. Once players have created their Harry Potter Fan Club account, they will be prompted to participate in ceremonies to get their wand as well as a Sorting Hat ceremony to be assigned to their Hogwarts House. They will get an 8-digit code that they can use on the WB Games website to link their accounts so that when they play Hogwarts Legacy next year, the information about their wand and Hogwarts House will be ready from the get-go. Another code entry will be required when the game actually comes out, but it should be fairly straightforward.

Of course, Harry Potter fans have the option of leaving their accounts completely unlinked and starting from scratching, going through the Sorting Hat ceremony and buying their wand like normal. However, those that choose to link their accounts ahead of time will be rewarded for their efforts with a Beaked Skull Mask and House Fan-atic School Robe to customize their character with in the game. An exclusive wallpaper will also be available.

Linking one's Hogwarts Legacy account is just one way that players can get a head-start on the new game. Some Harry Potter fans will actually have the opportunity to play the game a few days ahead of its release date. Those that choose to pre-order the Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition will get early access for 72 hours, effectively giving them full access to the game on February 7 instead of February 10.

Pre-ordering the Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition is one way for Harry Potter enthusiasts to get early access to the game, but they can also get early access if they manage to get their hands on the Collector's Edition. The Hogwarts Legacy Collector's Edition sold out almost immediately, and so anyone that wants to get one will likely have to bite the bullet and pay the ridiculous scalper prices to secure theirs.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X with a Switch version also in development.
