Arriving more than four years on from the game's initial release, Goku's Next Journey serves as the final piece of downloadable content for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and the first-ever video game adaptation of Dragon Ball Z's Peaceful World saga. Given that Peaceful World marked the end of the popular Shonen series, it seems somewhat fitting that CyberConnect2 chose it as the game's final DLC episode.

The Best Dragon Ball Games Of All Time, Ranked

Not every Dragon Ball game lives up to fans' expectations. These are the best games ever made starring Goku and the rest of the Z fighters.

Goku's Next Journey is free for those who own Season Pass 2 but can also be purchased separately for $13.99. For those trying to weigh up whether the latter represents good value for money, understanding how long it takes to beat Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's Goku's Next Journey DLC may well prove useful. Likewise, anyone hoping to play through the expansion in a single sitting will probably want to know the DLC's length before getting started.

How Long Does it Take to Beat Goku's Next Journey?

It will take most people around two hours to complete the main story of Goku's Next Journey. There are also ten new substories for players to tackle, which average out to around ten minutes a piece. As such, players can expect to get about four hours of enjoyment out of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's Goku's Next Journey DLC in total. This is in keeping with the other two DLC expansions that make up Season Pass 2, with both Bardock - Alone Against Fate and The 23rd World Tournament clocking in at between three and five hours in length.

Is Goku's Next Journey Worth The Money?

Given that it is priced at $13.99, Goku's Next Journey doesn't represent the best value for money. Each hour of gameplay will cost players around $3.50, which is pretty pricey when compared to a lot of other modern video games. Likewise, as a package, Season Pass 2 is arguably a little overpriced, with players only getting about 12 hours of enjoyment for the $40 asking price. That said, those who enjoyed Bardock - Alone Against Fate and The 23rd World Tournament should have fun with Goku's Next Journey, as it's very much a case of more of the same.
