IO Interactive's Hitman saga has been around for over twenty years and some of the franchise's titles are among the best espionage games ever made. The latest installment, Hitman 3, concluded the series' World of Assassination trilogy, which is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Every so often, players receive new content and missions through "Elusive Targets." These seasonal missions are available for a couple of weeks and gamers can take on the targets before losing access to them.

Why IO's 007 May Be as Stealthy as Its Main Character For a While

IO Interactive's Project 007 has great potential, but it may risk flying under the radar for quite some time since it'll likely be a leap from Hitman.

The latest elusive target features the former UFC champion Conor McGregor as Agent 47's new assassination victim. McGregor's character is introduced as The Disruptor, and he's available from June 27 to July 29 on all Hitman: World of Assassination platforms. According to IO Interactive, The Disruptor is a multimillionaire MMA fighter whose background is a mystery. He is set to fight Tim Quinn, CEO of Quantum Leap, a character who appeared in the Hitman 3 mission "The Farewell." Players must hunt down and kill The Disruptor before he inevitably humiliates Tim Quinn in the ring. The mission takes place on the island of Sgàil, one of Hitman 2's most popular maps, where the Ark Society is holding an event of MMA fights between millionaires.

Hitman Update Lets Players Take Down Conor McGregor For A Limited Time

Hitman: World of Assassination players can access The Disruptor mission for free for about four weeks, but they can also buy the Disruptor DLC pack for $4.99 to access the mission permanently as well as some special items. Here's everything included in the Hitman Disruptor DLC pack:

  • The Disruptor Fur Coat
  • The Disruptor Kettlebell
  • The Disruptor Resistance Band
  • The Disruptor Cane
  • The Ostentatious – A two-level Arcade contract featuring The Disruptor Elusive Target.
  • A set of cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse inspired by the iconic Elusive Target mission, including the iconic Money Pit

New players can also experience The Disruptor mission for free through the game's Free Starter Pack.

The Disruptor is an exact copy of Conor McGregor with even his tattoos being perfectly portrayed. Whether players are fans of McGregor or not, they are now able to finish him off in stealthy, creative ways in pure Hitman fashion. Of course, this isn't the first celebrity making a cameo in the trilogy. In the past, Hitman featured famous DJ Dimitri Vegas as an elusive target. Other big names who made an appearance were actors Sean Bean and Gary Busey.

While Hitman fans are not getting a new installment of the saga in the near future, they can periodically enjoy new content through Elusive Target missions. On its end, IO Interactive is still working on Project OO7, a new James Bond game announced several years ago but with no official release date in sight. Project OO7 is apparently an origin story of Agent Bond, which poses a challenge for IO Interactive to get right. While the studio is experienced in espionage games, Agent 47 is very different from James Bond, given that the latter is on the side of the law. In the meantime, fans will have to wait to see IO Interactive's take on the prominent spy.
