Hitman: World of Assassination is getting treated to a substantial influx of new content all throughout October, which is largely aiming to commemorate IO Interactive's 25th anniversary. As part of the same celebrations, the developer also announced a remastered version of Hitman: Blood Money.

The Copenhagen-based studio completed its trio of Hitman reboots in early 2021. Two years later, the company combined the Hitman trilogy into a single package as part of a move that also saw it rebrand the series' third entry into Hitman: World of Assassination.

Hitman Fan Reveals What Agent 47 Would Look Like With Hair

Some people look very different with a little more hair than usual, and the dapper Agent 47 from the Hitman games is certainly no exception.

And while the Hitman franchise is now set to go on hiatus, World of Assassination is still receiving regular updates, with IO Interactive just detailing its next wave of additions planned for October. The newly unveiled roadmap is split into two parts: IOI anniversary content and regular monthly novelties. The latter will begin rolling out on October 5 with the arrival of the Faster than Rocco challenge, which will task players with completing The Last Yardbird sniper mission in no more than a minute and 47 seconds in order to unlock the Sniper Challenge Suit.

October 13 will then mark the arrival of a new Elusive Target, Bad Boy, who will appear in the Sapienza level. Another Elusive Target is coming to Hitman: World of Assassination a week later, when players will have a single opportunity to take out The Food Critic in Bangkok. The final stretch of the month is reserved for IOI anniversary content, starting with a set of multi-level challenges on October 26 that will allow players to unlock the Retro Codename 47 Suit, which boasts a distinct low-poly look inspired by the 2000 game that spawned the iconic series.

Another challenge called A Nightmare in Hawkes Bay is scheduled to launch on the same day. The task will require fans to demonstrate their skills with the Bat Shuriken, rewarding anyone who does so with the Jack-O-Lantern Suit just in time for Halloween. Alexios "The Drop" Laskardis, another Elusive Target played by famous Belgian DJ Dimitri Vegas, is then set to debut in the game on October 27. Ditto for the Purple Streak Suit, IOI's first ever Twitch Drop that will be given away during the developer's upcoming livestream.

Around this time is when Hitman: World of Assassination is planned to receive its next patch, which will bump the game's version number up to 3.170 and introduce some quality-of-life improvements, as well as bug fixes. IOI has yet to commit to a concrete release date for the late October update.

Hitman: World of Assassination is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
