When Chai and his friends defeat Kale in Hi-Fi Rush, the credits roll. However, the story of the game isn't quite over. Peppermint notices some new signals connected to SPECTRA popping up throughout the Vandelay campus, and Chai must replay old tracks to find them.

Each of these signals is a door, and each door leads to a hidden challenge room that tests players' combat skills. Beating each challenge rewards players with a collectible, and beating them all unlocks a new area with even more challenges. This guide will explain where to find each Hi-Fi Rush challenge door and what happens next.

The Challenge Rooms

hi fi rush track 1 door

Challenge Room 1is in Track 1. After the game explains how to activate hammer buttons, cross to the next building and bear right to drop off the side. Around the corner is the door. The challenge inside is to defeat every enemy without touching the floor. The best way to do so is to use the magnet grapple to jump to each one.

hi fi rush door 2

Challenge Room 2is in Track 2. After the fight where Peppermint explains how she can help against enemies, climb up the crates that lead to the exit but don't leave just yet. Instead, jump to the nearby pipes and go around to reach the door. The challenge description is a bit misleading, but enemies will only be vulnerable to hits for 12 beats after the player parries them. This includes damage to barriers and Z armor.

hi fi rush door 3

Challenge Room 3is in Track 3. After beating the third training room, go down the hallway to the overlook area. Instead of turning left and using the magnet rail, turn right and cross the rocky area. The door is on the far side. The challenge for this room is to only hurt enemies using the parry counter abilities, which players must buy from the shop. Keep in mind that Korsica doesn't do damage with her counter.

hi fi rush door 4

Challenge Room 4is in Track 4. After Chai decides to go to the AR Lab, he enters a large circular room. This room contains a Korsica generator, and by using it, players can get to a higher platform with the stage's door. Challenge 4 is dodge counters, and it works the same way but with a different set of abilities.

hi fi rush door 5

Challenge Room 5is in Track 5. In the main hub area, go to the right of the starting platform and jump down to a catwalk with some graffiti on it. Ride the moving platforms that come up to this catwalk to reach a platform just below where Chai started.

There's an Armstrong circuit, a drone, and the door down here. The fifth challenge is Overkill, which is when players defeat an enemy using a team attack instead of the regular beat hit. Keep in mind that players need to buy the Overkill moves first and have one reverb charge for each use.

hi fi rush track 7 vlog 3

Challenge Room 6is in Track 7. In the first Security 02 area, continue past the shop and the door and go up the stairs past them. The door is at the top next to a vlog written by someone wondering what the door is. The challenge here is to never move, but it only counts regular movement. The magnet grapple is a great way to reach enemies in this room.

hi fi rush door 7

Challenge Room 7 is in Track 8. After going through the third Vandelay exhibit, there's a generator sequence that ends with magnet hooks. After the hooks end, turn around immediately and cross the pipes to reach this door. This is the no-damage challenge, so players must get good at dodging and parrying.

hi fi rush door 8

Challenge Room 8is in Track 10. When first entering the atrium, ignore the hammer button and go to the right. There are balconies here that lead up to a higher platform. This platform holds an Armstrong circuit, graffiti, a life gauge piece in a chest, and the door. This is the Just Timing challenge, which is one of the stats tracked in every combat. Any fighting method will work so long as players meet the Just Timing requirement.

The SPECTRA Hub Room

After beating all eight challenges, Peppermint will have something new to say when Chai returns to the hideout. Speak to her to discover a new option, the SPECTRA Hub Room. Choose it to enter a new area.

The first thing players can do in this area is collect the last six Vlogs in the game. The first one is in the central set of computers.

The second Vlog is on the computer between the entrance and the left challenge rooms...

...and the third Vlog is on the computers between the entrance and the right rooms.

Then the fourth Vlog is on a computer to the right of the imposing door at the far end of the room.

...and the sixth Vlog from a computer on the upper-right platform. Players who read these vlogs and all the ones in the regular stages will earn the "I have to read ALL of these things?" achievement.

The other thing to do in this room is beat eight more challenge rooms. For the most part, these rooms are harder versions of the first eight challenges. Beating them all will open the door at the far end of this room, and inside is an unexpected enemy. However, by this point, players should have all the skills they need to defeat this final foe. Pulling it off will give players the rare achievement, "I can't see this ever being a problem again."
