Henry Cavill has embraced a new hobby during his time in self-isolation as the world continues to quarantine itself due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Witcher and Superman actor shared an image of how he spent his Easter, showcasing his painting skills via his Instagram account where he is delicately painting a Warhammer helmet -- a geeky universe that he admits he has been following his whole life, despite not actively partaking in the hobby.

Wanting to put a silver lining to the lockdown, Cavill wanted to use this time as an opportunity to "polish some old skills and try my hand at some new ones!" The actor reflected on how this time is a period of rebirth before divulging his love of Games Workshop and Warhammer.

He confessed that Warhammer has been a life long hobby for him, noting how fans of the model war game refer to it as "plastic crack." Cavill noted he can't get enough of the history and lore of Warhammer's world that has been developed over the decades, and that the novels set within its universe have been some of his most enthused reads. Cavill jokingly added how if fans were in denial over his geek cred before, they can no longer deny him given his open confession.

Interestingly, Cavill then brought attention to the computer screen in the background of the image. Given the focus is on the helm he is painting, the screen itself is blurred -- though it's clear there is some sort of writing on it. The actor teased how this writing could be referencing the "new skills" he previously mentioned, suggesting he could be working on some sort of original writing. Given the long-form nature of the text, it could be a novel of some sort or even a synopsis for a show pitch. He stressed that fans attempting to squint or use digital un-focusing to uncover the words could be out of luck with their efforts.

Cavill ended his message with a grateful message to the hardworking members of Britain's National Health Service (NHS) amidst the coronavirus pandemic. He shared his thanks and acknowledged how difficult it must be at this time to have the influx of patients and stress put upon them. The actor declared that, despite these difficulties, "You got this."

The Witcher actor has previously shared his passion for geeky pursuits and properties. Having been a massive fan of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels and the games that were developed from them, Cavill lobbied for the part of Geralt eventually earning himself the opportunity to portray the titular Witcher in the Netflix series.

The Witcher Season 2 is currently in the works for Netflix.
