With the introduction of Helldivers 2’s minor patch 01.000.100, players will now encounter additional environmental challenges on many planets during deployment. From menacing fire tornadoes to meteor showers, these hazards may add unpredictability to each Helldivers 2 mission, requiring adaptability and quick thinking from players. Eradicate missions have been revamped to increase their difficulty and duration, providing a more challenging experience. The time required to complete Eradicate missions has been extended to ensure a more balanced and engaging gameplay loop.

Several support, secondary, and primary Helldivers 2 weapons have undergone balancing adjustments to prevent them from dominating the battlefield. Notable changes include modifications to magazine capacity, damage output, and armor penetration for weapons like the Breaker, Railgun, Flamethrower, Laser Cannon, and Punisher. Updates to stratagems such as the Energy Shield Backpack and Orbital Barrages have also been implemented to improve their functionality and effectiveness in combat scenarios.

Additionally, numerous fixes have been applied to address issues related to armor rating values, environmental hazards, anti-aliasing toggles, and lighting inconsistencies across different planets. A change was also made regarding friendly fire, and Helldivers will now take damage from fire, gas, etc., generated by other players. Additionally, a fix was implemented for the camera, which no longer locks onto the player's own corpse, thereby unblocking spectator mode.

Despite these improvements, a list of known issues has been acknowledged by the development team, such as game crashing, character freezing, bugs that render items "unpickable", login rate limiting, and more. Arrowhead Game Studios mentioned its ongoing efforts to resolve them and further enhance the gameplay experience for players. As the studio continues to refine the game’s universe, players can look forward to more Helldivers 2 updates that solve emerging problems in the future.
