Post-launch updates and strong community support appear to be key factors for the continued success of Helldivers 2, nearly two months after the game's launch for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Helldivers 2's strong sales show that the community is very pleased with the game, despite some of the technical issues that may still arise from time to time. Fortunately, Arrowhead Game Studios continues to release new updates that address the community's concerns, encouraging players to return to Helldivers 2 regularly and contribute to the Super Earth cause. During the game's launch month, multiple updates addressed the many server-side issues that were frequently affecting Helldivers 2, including bugs that prevented players from logging in or queuing into matches. As the state of Helldivers 2 improved within the past two months, sales for the game also held steady and grew in certain regions, including the UK.

March saw a notable 26% increase in overall game sales over March 2023, with Helldivers 2 outpacing sales of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 within an eight-week period following launch. Helldivers 2 also outsold EA Sports FC 24, Dragon's Dogma 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in the UK, highlighting the continued interest in Arrowhead Game Studios' latest title. EA Sports FC 24 was the second best-selling game of March 2024, followed by Dragon's Dogma 2 in third place, WWE 2K24 in fourth, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in fifth. Thus far, the post-launch momentum of Helldivers 2 doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.

March 2024 marks the second month that Helldivers 2 was the best-selling title in the UK. It's also worth noting that Helldivers 2 is available on PC and costs lower at £39.99, whereas Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was sold at £69.99 as a PS5-exclusive title.

Helldivers 2 sales will likely continue to impress for months to come, since Arrowhead Game Studios is committed to releasing a steady stream of updates and new in-game content in 2024. What's more, April 11 will be a notable day for Helldivers 2 with the release of the new "Democratic Detonation" Premium Warbond.
