The full PlayStation Network trophies list for upcoming multiplayer-focused cooperative shooter Helldivers 2 has been revealed. The trophies available hint at the breadth of activities players can engage in when Helldivers 2 launches on the PlayStation 5 and PC on February 8, 2024.

Ever since PlayStation platforms implemented the achievement-like Trophy system, dedicated PlayStation fans have sought after trophies to show off what they've done in various games. Unlike Steam or Xbox-based achievement systems, PlayStation trophies are organized by "rarity," with common feats typically classified as Bronze trophies and harder-to-earn or more complex feats meriting Silver, or even Gold ones. The most sought-after trophies are Platinum trophies, special awards given when a player has earned every other available trophy a game has to offer. It's gotten to the point that some "trophy hunters" end up disappointed when a new game like Foamstars does not appear to have a Platinum trophy of its own.

Does Helldivers 2 have a Platinum Trophy?

According to a page on PSNProfiles, Helldivers 2 will include a Platinum trophy in its lineup. The game has a full set of 39 trophies available, with 1 Platinum trophy, 3 Gold trophies, 11 Silver trophies, and 24 Bronze trophies. A total of 1,260 PSN account points can be earned from acquiring all the trophies in Helldivers 2. Most of the trophies available in Helldivers 2 reward players for playing effectively as a part of the team, as well as defeating the many menaces that threaten the Managed Democracy of Super Earth.

That said, a scan of the full list reveals points where Helldivers 2 trophies lean into the chaos of cooperative play and developer Arrowhead's sense of humor. Players can earn a trophy for being propelled at least 25 meters by the shockwave of an explosion, and another for landing so poorly from a jump pack boost that their Helldivers 2 character is put into a ragdoll state. One trophy even hands players a Bronze "consolation prize" when for when a team accomplishes a mission but fails to extract from the hot zone.

It's encouraging to see that Helldivers 2 is being treated as a significant February release for PlayStation. Helldivers 2 represents a major shift in the style employed by developer Arrowhead. As the studio's first third-person shooter and a more "traditional" style of game compared with the original Helldivers (which was a top-down "twin-stick" style of shooter). But if Arrowhead's unique aesthetic and capacity for evoking a comedic, yet intense world can carry through in the gameplay, the Helldivers franchise might see its potential audience opening up to include players that wouldn't have given a top-down game the time of day.

Gold

  • Hell Dive - Complete an Extreme difficulty mission or higher without anyone dying.
  • Hold my primary, I'm going in! - Complete a full Hard difficulty mission or higher without anyone firing their primary or support weapon.
  • Gone in 360 seconds! - Complete a full Extreme difficulty Blitz mission and extract in under 6 minutes

Silver

  • Extractamundo! - Extract with a full squad on a Hard difficulty or more mission.
  • Caught them by Supplies! - Kill a Charger with a resupply pod.
  • Samples are a diver's best friend - Extract with at least 15 rare samples from a mission as a team.
  • Doing your part - Complete at least 100 missions.
  • It's the only way to be sure... - Have 6 orbital barrage stratagems in the same place at the same time.
  • For the greater good! - Kill 5,000 enemies.
  • Kill it with fire! - Kill 100 enemies using fire damage during the same mission.

Bronze

  • Ship it! - Upgrade all ship modules at least 1 level.
