Helldivers 2 players want the developers to reduce the cooldown time for the Orbital Railcannon Strike, which they think is much longer than it should be. Recently, they vented their frustration at the current state of the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit, urging the developers to buff the supply strategem as soon as possible.

Since its initial release, Helldivers 2 has brought many updates to fix frequent crashes, stability issues, and bugs that plagued the game. It has introduced a number of balance changes to address player concerns over some weapons, armor, and stratagems. Some of these updates were a massive shakeup to Helldivers 2 since they caused shifts in the meta and impacted the effectiveness of loadouts.

Helldivers 2 players on Reddit voiced their frustration over the cooldown time for the Orbital Railcannon Strike, calling the developers to reduce it to make the stratagem a favorable choice. One Reddit user by the name of CouldBeBetter TBH expressed the idea behind this balance change, claiming that the Orbital Railcannon Strike has a long cooldown (210 seconds) for a single-target stratagem that can defeat one enemy. According to the player, Helldivers 2's Precision Strike is a better option since it has a shorter cooldown and deals damage to multiple enemies.

Many Helldivers 2 Players Think Railcannon Strike Isn't Worth It

One Helldivers 2 player, known on Reddit as TheGentlemanCEO, indicated that the Orbital Railcannon Strike's cooldown time wouldn't be an issue if it kills every enemy with one hit. However, this offensive-type stratagem is outclassed by other orbitals in the game. It can't even one shot Helldivers 2's Bile Titans due to the lack of damage. Some players think Arrowhead should increase its damage output instead of reducing its cooldown time.

The Orbital Railcannon Strike is among the offensive stratagems in Helldivers 2, which can be used to defeat the tankiest enemies. Due to its cooldown time, players can't activate it as frequently as other orbital stratagems like Gatling Barrage and Gas Strike. Those who want to get the Orbital Railcannon Strike in their arsenal must first reach level 20 and pay 10000 Requisition Slips.

Stratagems are active abilities that players can use to deal devastating damage or increase their survivability in combat. They are unlocked by spending Requisition Slips, in-game materials that can be earned through regular gameplay. Each stratagem in Helldivers 2 has different stats that show its cooldown and call-in time.
