  • A Helldivers 2 player comes up with a concept for modular Exosuit Mechs.
  • The concept explores the Mechs with four different weapons, from which players would be able to choose two.

A creative Helldivers 2 player has produced a cool concept that would massively improve the game's Exosuit Mech Stratagem. The Exosuit Mechs in Helldivers 2 haven't fully lived up to their early promise, but with these changes, would be a force to be reckoned with in the Galactic War against the Terminids and Automatons.

Exosuit Mechs were first introduced to Helldivers 2 last month, as a new Stratagem intended to give players the edge on the battlefield. However, upon launch, some Helldivers 2 players were disappointed with the new Mechs, feeling that they were underpowered and were destroyed far too easily. Despite this, they're still an extremely promising concept that fits right in with Helldivers 2's chaotic gameplay and, with some fine-tuning, could become a powerful addition to the in-game arsenal. One player online feels as though they've got the perfect idea to make this a reality.

Helldivers 2 Confirms the Multi-Liberation System Isn't Working As Intended Yet

Helldivers 2 developers confirm they have yet to implement the multi-liberation mechanic into the game's wider Galactic War system.

Redditor Emord_Nillap shared their impressive concept for Exosuit Mechs in Helldivers 2, which would involve their weapons becoming modular. This would allow players to give their Exosuit Mech Stratagem two of four weapons, including a Gatling machine gun, a rocket pod, a dual autocannon, and a flamethrower. Players would be able to mix and match these options, making their Exosuit Mechs extremely powerful. Even if it doesn't solve all the problems that players have with the Stratagem at the moment, it would certainly be a big step in the right direction.

Ever since Helldivers 2's release a few months back, Arrowhead Game Studios has made a conscious effort to keep player consultation at the forefront of everything it does. The developer maintains an active Discord server, where players can communicate what they'd like to see directly to the studio. This doesn't mean that Arrowhead Game Studios caters to every idea - Helldivers 2's CEO recently said no to adding transmog into the game despite overwhelming fan demand. Even still, the developer broadly listens to the community, which is why the game has such strong player retention at the moment.

Despite releasing a couple of months back now, Helldivers 2 has done an impressive job at keeping players onboard with frequent content updates to the game. There haven't been large content drops each time, but they're consistent enough that there's always something new for returning players to discover all the time. The most recent update for Helldivers 2 was mostly a stability patch, and hopefully, a new content update is just around the corner.
