In a comment on the official Discord, community manager Twinbeard confirmed that there is a hotfix in the works that will address the problems users have been facing. While that might make fans breathe a sigh of relief, considering that the game has literally become unplayable for many, there is a catch.

Twinbeard further clarifies that the update is not coming over the weekend, alluding to the fact that it could take a while before the patch actually materializes. They even further suggested users should "hang in there or let the game rest for a while", but at the same also appreciated the unwavering support of the fans for Helldivers 2. While fans were grateful to learn that the developers are finally on the way to adressing the issue, many were against the idea of taking a break from the game.
Several players highlighted that the now-concluded major order in Helldivers 2 was a crucial factor that was drawing them toward the game. Initially, things looked quite bleak for the players as they were losing ground and were barely on target to get the planets liberated. However, eventually, things turned around, and Operation Swift Disassembly turned out to be a success for players.
