Spreading democracy in the most chaotic fashion possible is only one part of the mission in Helldivers 2. You still need to extract safely from the planet by calling in an extraction shuttle. This is where Democratic Detonation comes into play, to improve your odds of a successful extraction. The third premium Warbond to release for Helldivers 2 gives you access to a new booster called Expert Extraction Pilot, which enables a faster extraction than usual .

Helldivers 2 has quickly become one of the best cooperative shooters in history, but that does not mean there is no room for improvement.
Expert Extraction Pilot Booster Explained
Once the primary objective has been completed, players can make their way to the extraction zone to activate the extraction beacon in Helldivers 2. This is where they must defend the extraction site until the space shuttle (Pelican-1) arrives to extract all surviving players and take them back to the Super Destroyer. If a player has equipped the Expert Extraction Pilot booster, however, Pelican-1 arrives much faster.
Pelican-1 only takes off after a player enters the shuttle. If no one enters the shuttle, the team can spend the remaining mission time farming samples in Helldivers 2 .
While the in-game description does not mention any specifics, player testing confirms that the time taken for the extraction shuttle to arrive is reduced by 15% with the Expert Pilot booster. Since the extraction timer does not indicate how much time has been shaved off with the booster, the table below should be helpful in understanding how fast players can expect Pelican-1 to arrive in Helldivers 2.

Is the Expert Extraction Booster Worth Unlocking?
Unfortunately, Expert Extraction Pilot is one of the most underwhelming boosters in Helldivers 2. Considering that it only takes effect once at the end of a mission, being able to extract a mere 18 seconds faster is anything but helpful. Even if mission modifiers double the extraction time on higher-difficulty missions, extracting 37 seconds faster is still not enough. If you have managed to survive a level 9 helldive mission, you can surely survive another 37 seconds for the extraction shuttle to arrive in Helldivers 2.
There is no way that Expert Extraction Pilot can compete with some of the other boosters in its current state. Hellpod Optimisation, Vitality Enhancement, and Stamina Enhancement, for example, offer too much value in comparison. Ditching them for an 18-second faster extraction would be wasting your booster slot.
What's more, Expert Pilot Extraction Democratic Detonation Warbond. It costs 1,000 Super Credits and then a minimum of 115 Medals to unlock. Unless you are interested in the R-36 Eruptor bolt-action rifle, it would be wise to spend your hard-earned currency on something else.
