Fighting against Terminids in Helldivers 2 often involves gunning down distant swarms and running for dear democracy whenever a swarm of Chargers, Bile Titans, or Hunters appear. The same is often reflected in the mission objectives found on Terminid planets, with players being tasked to destroy eggs or eradicate swarms before they become even bigger problems in the future.

Helldivers 2: Hold My Liber-tea! Achievement and Trophy Guide

Prove that recklessness is irrelevant in the face of Democracy by completing the Hold My Liber-tea trophy and achievement in Helldivers 2.

Side objectives in Terminid-controlled planets aren't as varied as the ones found on the western Automaton front, but they're unique enough to pose different flavors of difficulty to the growing community of Helldivers 2. Here's a list of all Terminid-specific side objectives as well as instructions on how to complete them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

This guide does not cover generic side objectives like Illegal Broadcasts, Radar Stations, and SEAF Artillery Batteries, as these can also be found randomly when fighting other factions. The following are objectives that are exclusive to the Terminids.

Spore Spewers

A Spore Spewer in Helldivers 2

If you notice that a big chunk of the map you're on is covered by a thick blanket of dirty fog, then it's probably because a Spore Spewer is in the vicinity. These large, mushroom-like structures release spores, which greatly decrease visibility in an area, even more so if the planet you're on already has active weather conditions like sandstorms or dense fog.

Spotting Spore Spewers can be tricky at first. Ideally, you should try to find its location before you enter the fog. To do this, open up your map, then ping one of the red spots near the foggy area. You'll know you've marked the Spore Spewer if a mushroom-shaped icon appears on your compass. Once you've spotted it, hit the spewer with literally anything — stratagems, grenades, heavy weapons, or whatever gun is in your hands. It's vulnerable to all forms of damage — you can even destroy it with Breaker shots from beyond the fog.

Stalker Lairs

A Stalker Lair in Helldivers 2

Members of the community have universally acknowledged that the Terminid Stalker is one of the deadliest enemies in Helldivers 2. Not only are these bugs camouflaged, but they also actively try to stay away from the players' line of sight by hiding behind rocks or approaching from the flanks. They can shred Helldivers to bits with their claws or send them flying with their tentacle-like tongues, making them extremely lethal in every difficulty.

However, these invisible bugs only spawn when there are Stalker Nests on a map. These appear as regular bug holes, making them hard to identify at a glance. One way to find a nest is to pay attention to where the Stalkers themselves are coming from. Sweep that general direction and look for the tell-tale smoke stacks of bug holes. If you spot a hole that isn't marked red on your map, it's probably a Stalker Lair. Plug it up with explosives from any source (grenades, stratagems, support weapons, etc.) and continue with the mission.
