Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye introduced Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton to his new partner, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop. While hesitant at first, Barton appreciates Bishop’s help by the end of the season, and the two work wonderfully together to bring down the Tracksuit Mafia. In a fun new challenge, though, the two actors figure out who the better archer is in real life.

In a new Hawkeye featurette released by Marvel Studios, Renner and Steinfeld are not working together, but are instead pitted against each other in an interesting competition. With different games involved, the two strive to earn the most points and win the title of the best archer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The competition begins with a darts challenge, with a dart board made of balloons. The challenge is to burst the balloons, and similar to a darts game, the closer the actors hit to the bullseye, the more points they get. While Steinfeld jokes about the contest being rigged at first, because Renner seems to be scoring more points, she eventually manages to win the round by hitting a direct bullseye.

The second challenge is cornhole, with the platform design incorporating the fan-favorite Lucky the Pizza Dog. The actors use pizza-shaped cushions as their bags of corn kernels and if the cushion goes through the hole, they earn three points, whereas landing on the board earns one point. Renner easily wins the round with his perfect throws, whereas Steinfeld misses most of hers and is only able to earn three points in the entire round. The last challenge is the one closest to their Hawkeye avatars, as it involves shooting a bow and arrow. The twist, they have to shoot small action figures of some of the popular MCU villains. Renner manages to shoot Thanos without even looking, and is easily the victorious one. Upon losing, Steinfeld pretty much hits all the figures with her bow, the equivalent of a table flip moment.

It is a lot of fun to watch the two actors go up against each other in this fun competition. Their chemistry on-screen was fantastic, with their characters mostly involved in banter through the season. With Barton not accepting Bishop as her partner until very late in the series, the latter is constantly seen trying to push her way into his life and help with situations where he would have worked better alone. But, after seeing the new Hawkeye, featurette it seems like the actors share an off-screen chemistry too, and would have most likely enjoyed the filming process.

Hawkeye is streaming on Disney Plus.
