In Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, players can explore an expansive map. Once the tutorial is over, players can go wherever they want and visit a variety of villages that lie beyond the wall of Lenctenbury. But of course, players can't explore every corner of the map right from the get go.
Aside from the lack of stamina and inability to fast travel at the start, players can make it as far as Providence at best. As players begin to venture out further, they will find that they cannot explore some areas as they are blocked off by broken bridges. Fortunately, these bridges can be repaired.
How to Repair Bridges in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos
Unlike some things in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, repairing bridges is not something that requires much story progression. The only thing that players will need to do is have met the Harvest Goddess.
After that point, when players encounter a broken bridge they should approach it and interact with it. At this point, they will get a task to repair that particular bridge. Each bridge will vary in terms of how many materials they require.
For example, one bridge may require five Board Lumber, four Square Lumber, and eight Material Stone. But then players may encounter a more complex task that requires 30 Material Stone, eight Square Lumber, and 16 Bronze to fix a bridge. The further out players go, the more materials will be needed. Later on, Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos players will encounter bridges that require High Quality Board Lumber to repair. High Quality Board Lumber can be obtained from completing various tasks and requests from other NPCs throughout Anthos.
How to Get the Materials to Repair Bridges
In order to repair bridges, players will need to make sure that they gather as many materials as possible in advance. Some of the main materials will be found from destroying rocks and delving into mines, so players will want to make sure to have as much food to restore Stamina as possible. The materials that are often needed are as follows:
- Board and Square Lumber: Players can craft these items by gathering Lumber. Each of these materials will require three Lumber a piece.
- Material Stone: Material Stone can be crafted with Stone. Take Stone to Doc Jr and he can craft them. It only takes one Stone and a small amount of money to craft Material Stone.
- Bronze: Bronze can be crafted with Bronze Ore from mines. Players can find a lot of Bronze Ore in the Lenctenbury Mine.
