Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is a farming simulation game that allows players to make an avatar. The options to build out a character are very limited; players get to choose from a male-presenting or female-presenting body, skin tone, eye color, and a hair color. There is no option to change hairstyles, height, weight, or anything like that. However, this life and farming simulation game gives players the option to change their appearance, but those options are even more limiting than before.

In order to change the character avatar's appearance, players will need to head to their homes. Next to the bed is a large armoire; this is the place that players can change their character's appearance and change out furniture, floor, and wall color of their home. Interact with the armoire, then press the first option: Main Character Settings. After selecting this option, a new menu will open up to change the character's hair color. The second menu allows players to change their outfit. So after a character is created, they are locked into their body type, eye color, and skin tone.

How to Get New Outfits in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos

Harvest-Moon-How-To-Change-Look-01

Since there are so many limitations on character creation and editing in this Harvest Moon game, players might be on the lookout for new outfits. There are a total of four outfits in the Winds of Anthos: the Warm, Cool, Steampunk, and regular outfits.

The Regular Outfit in Harvest Moon

This is the starting outfit for anyone playing this Stardew Valley-like game. It is the only outfit players will have at the start of the game unless they purchased the DLC.

The Warming Outfit

This outfit can only be made in Zimagrad after the wall is destroyed. Players will need to collect two Valais Blacknose Sheep Wool, five Jewel Onion, one Adamantite, and 100 gold. It protects from the stamina loss debuff in cold weather areas.

The Cooling Outfit

Like the Warming outfit, the cooling outfit makes it safe to travel through the desert during the day without worrying about the Harvest Moon stamina debuff. It is also made in Zimagrad after reaching Culture Level 4. To make it, players need three Sheep Wool, five Aquature, one Orichalcum, and 100 gold.

The Steampunk DLC Outfit

The Steampunk outfit will only be available to those who purchase the Visitors From Afar DLC for this Harvest Moon title.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is available for PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and is coming soon to PC.
