Several Harvest Moon games have made their way to Switch, including Light of Hope and the 2019 remake of Friends of Mineral Town. Now, finally, a brand new Harvest Moon called One World is making its way to Nintendo's newest console.

The recent history of life and farm simulations on all consoles and gaming computers has been a robust one. Players have been flocking to the newest Animal Crossing, making it the fastest-selling Switch game, while remakes of classic sim games have been popping up on the market. And now devs for Harvest Moon have announced that a brand new title in the series is on its way.

Brought to sim lovers everywhere by developer Natsume, Harvest Moon: One World will feature a brand new location for players to explore. There will be some new characters and some fans of the series will recognize.  This new story will revolve around players who find that fruits and vegetables no longer exist and are forced to go find out why.

Farming is a big part of Harvest Moons

Also known as Farm Story or Story of Seasons especially for the upcoming PS4 release of an older HM, the thirty-or-so Harvest Moon games have spanned decades and generations of consoles. Although the series has waned in popularity over the last few years, there are some amazing games in the series' history that will hopefully inspire the newest generation.

It looks like it could be the perfect blend of new and old. Natsume hasn't developed a Harvest Moon game in a while, and it seems to be ready to create a brand new engine and massively updated graphics. That is great news for everyone hoping for a pretty game with a lot of new content and interesting changes.

Also, a game like this can look absolutely stunning on the Switch, which was proven by the beautiful look of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so fans of the series should have a lot to look forward to. This new update will hopefully breathe life back into the Harvest Moon series, bringing new and old players that Harvest Moon game they deserve.

Harvest Moon: One World will be available sometime this year for Nintendo Switch.
