Farming and life simulator fans can rejoice: Harvest Moon: One World is finally on its way. Harvest Moon: One World was revealed back in May 2020 but hasn't had a release date, until now.

Not a whole lot of information has been released about the upcoming Harvest Moon since its original teaser in May. Nintendo did show off bits of the story, a trailer, and gave fans a look at both the female and male protagonist of One World. Several screenshots have also been posted too, bringing fans some glimpses at the new look and updated graphics. But until now, fans didn't have an idea of the date it would be available, or all the systems it might be for. All they knew is that the original release date had been incredibly delayed.

Harvest Moon: One World will be released March 2, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. One World will also come to PS4 on the same release date. Although it was originally planned for a November or October of 2020 release date according to some stores' preorder pages, Harvest Moon: One World was pushed back due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In a statement on September 16th, Hiro Maekawa of Natsume apologized for the delay of the game, but promised "a great game that introduces players to a whole new world and promises Serious Fun."

Preorder of Special Edition Harvest Moon One World $79.99

Natsume's websites has available pre-orders for both systems for a special edition copy of Harvest Moon: One Moon. The special edition comes with the game for either the Switch or the PS4, "Life on the Farm" Official Soundtrack, "Best Friends" Animal Lapel Pin Set, "A Fruitful Season" Cloth Poster, and a special Collector's Box. This special edition will be $79.99 USD for either system.

The base game will $49.99 USD for either system, and pre-orders from some companies will come with an adorable chicken plushie. While Harvest Moon: Mad Dash was leaked for Xbox One, it doesn't look like Harvest Moon: One World will be available for Xbox One in the near future.

For a bit of good news, Harvest Moon fans can look forward to some interesting changes and updates coming with the new game. The newest Harvest Moon will have updated graphics, and will most likely continue Friends of Mineral Town's same-sex couple options for those who want it.

It's a shame that it had to be delayed so long, and most fans are ready for a new chapter in the Harvest Moon Story of Seasons series. But unfortunately, fans of the genre will have to make due with Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town until March of 2021 arrives.

Harvest Moon: One World will be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
