During the Nintendo Direct presentation, Marvelous and Xseed games announced their new remake of Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life to be released in the summer of 2023 for Nintendo Switch. Fans are sure to be excited to see Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life see a full top-to-bottom remake in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, both for the beloved story from the original game and for the new details and added features to the new game.
After nearly twenty years, fans will be able to explore Forgotten Valley once again and get back into the farm management business. The last main installment was Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which came out last year, and since then, fans are itching to dive back into the tranquil, farming simulation gameplay that is relaxing but also challenging.
The story of the game is the same as the original. The main character inherits a farm in Forgotten Valley from their father and they must grow and cultivate the farm, its crops, and its animals into a thriving and plentiful installation. Also, players are able to interact with and befriend the different townsfolk as they explore the valley. And of course, the marriage and children mechanics are back as well as players are able to find a partner to marry and subsequently start a family with them. Story of Seasons games' relationship system is a staple of the franchise and fans will surely be happy to see it back in A Wonderful Life.
A new feature in this version of Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is that the characters will start to age as time goes on and this aging will be visually apparent on the character models. New features and secrets are nothing new to Story of Seasons games, and players are sure to be eager to explore Forgotten Valley and find new, hidden things as the game progresses.
One interesting mechanic in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is that once the player's child grows up, they choose their own career and life path. This isn't entirely random, though. The player is able to manipulate how the child will grow up and what they learn and experience by taking the child to different places and how they interact with them in those places.
Last year, Story of Seasons developers said they were open to remaking classic games in the franchise, and now, fans are glad that they did because they are getting Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life next summer.
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life will release for the Nintendo Switch in summer 2023.
