The Harry Potter series is expansive enough that it boasts a whole host of colorful and memorable characters across all seven books (and eight movies). Even those who are just casual consumers will likely remember the characters from their iconography and little details about them. On the flip side, there are so many Harry Potter characters to keep track of that it could become overwhelming for someone who's not deeply immersed in the fandom, as they struggle to keep up with who's who. People who are fans, however, are deeply invested in all the characters, even those who only have a small supporting role. This is part of what made the series so beloved by so many.

Fans of the series even get invested in what happened to the characters after the events of the main story. For most books, there wouldn't be much information on this, but over the years, J.K. Rowling has provided updates on what everyone's favorite characters are up to. The Weasley family is the source of some of the most famous and reoccurring characters from Harry Potter, as the family full of redheads has become quite iconic. Despite the fact that a few of the kids play much smaller roles in the story than others, there's still quite a bit of information out there about what happened to them all after the end of The Deathly Hallows.

Molly and Arthur Weasley

The heads of the Weasley family, Molly and Arthur, are a warm and welcome presence in the series. They are like parents to Harry (and do, in fact, become his parents-in-law later on), and they are a constant throughout the story. After the events of the books, Molly and Arthur returned to a quiet life at home at the Burrow, which became a sort of attraction and photo op spot for wizarding history buffs as it was the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix for a time. Arthur returned to his position at the Ministry of Magic as the Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office, as he was still deeply interested in Muggle culture. Molly and Arthur became grandparents in the aftermath of the war as well, with their children began marrying off and having families of their own.

Bill Weasley

The eldest Weasley, who married Fleur Delacour during the course of the Harry Potter series, lived with his family at Shell Cottage. Bill and Fleur had three children together: Victoire, Dominique, and Louis. Victoire was born on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, which is why they chose that name for her, as it means "victory" in French. All of these children inherited Veela traits from their mother, though theirs weren't quite as strong. Bill was still employed as a Curse-Breaker for Gringotts and had returned to the work he was doing in Egypt. He also wrote a handbook discussing his experiences dealing with werewolves, which was used by those pursuing a profession as an Auror to expand on their methods for overpowering the defenses of a werewolf.

Charlie and Percy Weasley

Percy Weasley

Charlie, the next Weasley in age order, is the one who appears the least in the series. All that's really known about him is that he works with dragons in Romania, and he continued to do this after the war. He never married or had children, as he was much more interested in his work with dragons than any romantic pursuits. Percy, who had a complicated relationship with his family throughout the series, returned to the Ministry of Magic after the war, becoming Head of the Department of Magical Transportation under the new Minister For Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. He married a woman named Audrey, and they had two daughters together named Molly and Lucy.

George Weasley

George had a hard time after the end of the war, as he (along with the whole family) was still mourning his twin brother Fred, who died during the Battle of Hogwarts. He married Angelina Johnson, a Hogwarts classmate and fellow Quidditch player, and they had two children together - Roxanne and Fred, named after his late brother. He continued to run Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, the store that he started with Fred, which grew to be quite a success. Their products were widely used by the wizarding population, to the point where Puking Pastilles were banned in most work environments and George became known as "the bane of many a professor", as Hogwarts students loved the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes products and used them often.

Ron Weasley

As one of Harry's best friends, Ron is a staple in the Harry Potter series. After all of the Golden Trio's adventures were finished, Ron and Harry went on to become Aurors for the Ministry of Magic, where they helped track down the remaining followers of Voldemort that were still out in the world. After two years of being an Auror, Ron left to go run Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes with his brother George. His reasons for doing so aren't clear, but Rita Skeeter claimed it was because he was tired of being in Harry's shadow and was mentally ill (of course, any Rita Skeeter gossip should be taken with the biggest grain of salt one can muster). It's more likely, however, that he just wanted a calmer profession, and wanted to spend time with his older brother. As most fans will know, Ron got married to Hermione Granger, and they had two children together - Rose and Hugo. Ron was also the godfather to Harry's children.

Ginny Weasley

After the war, Ginny (the only female Weasley child) continued her relationship with Harry. Ginny became a very prominent Quidditch player and spent many years playing for the Holyhead Harpies. She and Harry eventually got married, and she ended up retiring from her Quidditch career so that they could start a family. The couple had three children together, named James, Albus, and Lily. Ginny later became the Quidditch Correspondent for The Daily Prophet, so she was able to continue to pursue her interest in the sport in some professional capacity. As of 2020, Ginny had been promoted to being the sports editor for the Prophet, while Harry was promoted to Head of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry.
