Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will launch worldwide on June 27 for iOS and Android mobile devices. 2023 has been a big year for the Harry Potter franchise so far, and the global release of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened should go only make it bigger.

The highly-anticipated Hogwarts Legacy game released in early 2023 to critical acclaim and record-breaking sales. Months later, it was confirmed that a Harry Potter TV series was in development with a brand-new cast, and that a Harry Potter Quidditch video game was in the works. Now Wizarding World fans have something else to look forward to, as Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will officially launch next week.

Come June 27, Harry Potter fans will be able to download and play Harry Potter: Magic Awakened on Android and iOS. For those unfamiliar with the game, it's described as a "free-to-play collectible card role-playing game" that combines CCG mechanics with MMO features. It features familiar Harry Potter locations, items, and spells, and should prove to be of great interest to franchise fans.

Some Harry Potter fans may have already been well aware of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. While the game is set to have its official global launch on June 27, it had previously been available to play in China. Harry Potter: Magic Awakened was a big hit in China, and so it's no surprise that the decision has been made to give it a global launch.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is just the latest Harry Potter mobile game released under the Portkey Games label. The first was the controversial Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, which released in 2018, and was followed-up by the now-defunct Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and the popular puzzle game Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells from Zynga. Portkey Games has found a great deal of success with its Harry Potter mobile games so far, and so it wouldn't be surprising at all to see more Harry Potter mobile projects take shape in the years ahead.

Of course, Harry Potter fans can look forward to traditional console games based on the franchise as well, especially after the record-breaking success of Hogwarts Legacy. The Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions game is also expected to release on PC and consoles, so it too should appeal to more traditional gamers. There should be plenty of gaming variety for Harry Potter fans, and as long as the games keep generating the kind of money they have been, there really is no end in sight for the mega-popular franchise.
