Season 3 of Harley Quinn is currently underway and the fan reaction appears to be just as appreciative as it's been throughout the whole series up to this point. Basically, it's been well worth the long delay. But given how long fans had to wait after the 2nd season even just to see a confirmation that season 3 was coming, it would be understandable if nobody really expected to hear about a potential 4th season anytime soon.

Well, they'd be half right. While it's true that Harley Quinn still has yet to receive an official order for season 4, it looks as though the showrunners themselves may be planning ahead. Seasoned fans of the show will remember how long it took for more episodes to finally air after Harley Quinn season 3 was finally confirmed nearly 2 full years ago. However, it's tough to deny that Harley Quinn has amassed a dedicated fanbase over the years, and the assumption that more will soon be on the way wouldn't necessarily be misguided.

That's likely why the folks behind the beloved series decided to register an upcoming 4th season of Harley Quinn on the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR), which is a widely-used database that big-time production companies use to make note of their upcoming shows, movies, and similar projects. Not only is the season itself registered, but it also includes the names of all 10 potential episodes. This may hint that the Harley Quinn crew are confident that they'll be renewed after this season, but at the very least, it seems to indicate that there's already a solid plan in place for where the story should go from here.

Harley Quinn Season 3

Anyone checking the episode titles will likely be unsurprised, assuming they're already familiar with Harley Quinn's brand of decidedly un-family-friendly comedy. It includes names like "Gotham's Hottest Hotties," "Potato Based Cloning Incident," and "Business Conference Without Chlamydia," among others in various levels of tastefulness. Naturally, the collection of titles is so eclectic that anyone would be hard-pressed to glean a prediction about the season's story arc from it, but that just means it'll be a fun surprise.

Starring Kaley Cuoco as the voice of Harley herself, Harley Quinn features the titular baddie setting out to make a name for herself as a villain after finally breaking up with The Joker (Alan Tudyk) for good. She's helped along by her crew, including long-time friend and eventual love Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), King Shark (Ron Funches), and Clayface (also Tudyk), with a colorful cast of other characters making regular appearances. Among them is Kite Man (Matt Oberg), who starts off as Ivy's on-and-off boyfriend and is now getting his own spinoff on HBO Max.

That's all just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Harley Quinn. There's plenty more to it, and perhaps even more than that in the future if the EIDR database is anything to go by. Again, season 4 still hasn't been officially greenlit, but Harley and her crew definitely aren't the types to go out quietly.

Harley Quinn is currently streaming on HBO Max, with new episodes premiering Thursdays.
