Players of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC have been receiving quite the treat over the past several weeks. With the recent addition of the critically-acclaimed Halo 3 and some of the excitement surrounding Halo Infinite, players have been hopping back into the role of their favorite spartan looking to relive their old glory days. However, some players have decided to create new memories in the form of crazy mods for the warthog in the original Halo.

The warthog in the original Halo has been seeing quite a bit of attention recently. With the same update that added Halo 3 to The Master Chief Collection on PC, 343 Industries also added weapon and vehicle skins to Halo: Combat Evolved, allowing players to turn their warthog into the hot rod of their dreams.

However, modder InfernoPlus had a different idea for modding one of the best Halo vehicles. InfernoPlus put out a video on YouTube where he showed off multiple iterations of a warthog that he calls the "Long Hog," where he progressively finds new ways to add more seats to the truck.

Mod creators seem to be in good company within the Halo community. Along with these entertaining vehicle mods created by InfernoPlus, another modder by the name parapara recently created a third-person mod for Halo 3, allowing for players to literally watch Chief's back.

It's certainly encouraging to see players so committed to Halo, considering the recent controversy over Halo: Infinite's graphics. Although it was an older build of Xbox Series X's flagship title, this was enough to cause many players to fear for the future of the sci-fi shooter. However, if player support can keep up this way through modders, the legacy of the franchise could turn out just fine.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available now on PC and Xbox One.
