Halo Infinite has added a helmet and helmet visor inspired by Paramount's TV show. One of the Halo Infinite items can be obtained by simply logging in, while the other will require some more playtime.

Recently, Halo Infinite launched a significant update that added a new operation, arena map, forge features, and more. The new map, Illusion, is a unique stage that features a camo-inducing central hallway, which allows for interesting gameplay opportunities. Its level designers described it as a "love letter" to Halo: Combat Evolved's map design, which featured similarly unique levels. Going into the future, it seems that Halo Infinite will be making more references to other parts of the Halo franchise.

Halo Easter Egg Adds Driveable Forklift

Halo Infinite fans discover a new Easter egg that allows a functioning forklift to be unlocked and show players how to gain access to it.

Halo Infinite released two items based on the Halo show's Riz-028 character. Her reddish helmet visor can be unlocked by simply logging into Halo Infinite and her helmet can be unlocked by completing this week's ultimate challenge, which runs from February 6th to February 13th. To begin completing the ultimate challenge, users must first complete the regular weekly challenges. This week's ultimate challenge requires users to kill five enemies with sniper rifles in a single game or earn one No Scope medal. Additionally, Halo Infinite previously confirmed that more cosmetics inspired by the Halo show will be added to the game soon. From February 20 to February 27th, players can earn Vannak-134's helmet.

Halo Infinite Adds Riz's Helmet and Helmet Visor From Halo TV Show

Last week, players could earn Kai-125's helmet as well by completing that week's ultimate challenge. However, the free offer is no longer available. Many Halo fans who didn't enjoy the show's controversial first season are hoping that Halo season 2 will be an improvement. Master Chief actor Pablo Schreiber seemed to encourage this possibility by explaining that Halo season 2 features plenty of changes from the previous season. Regardless of the show's quality, many Halo fans are probably excited to be receiving free new helmets to unlock.

Halo Infinite's references to other parts of the franchise don't end there, as the previously mentioned Illusion map features a secret room that's packed with Halo easter eggs. Users can also access a drivable forklift on Illusion by collecting various ONI tags around the map during an Infection match, with the forklift being another callback to previous Halo games.

In much more surprising Halo news, it seems that Halo games might be going cross-platform in the future after numerous leaks claimed that Xbox is planning a big change in strategy. Reportedly, many of Xbox's previously exclusive franchises will release on PlayStation in an effort to increase profits. Insiders claim that Xbox has struggled recently due to underwhelming hardware sales and Game Pass' massive costs.
