Halo Infinite Fans Are Pushing For a Halo 4 Feature to Return

Halo Infinite fans are calling for a feature last seen in Halo 4 to return, which could make certain elements of the game more interesting.

From June 4 through July 2, 2024, Operation Tenrai IV will be active for Halo Infinite players, tasking them with working through 20 unique tiers in a new Operation Pass. This operation will also bring back Halo Infinite's 500 XP Daily Challenges, which were removed during a prior update, making player progression in Halo Infinite a core focus of this new event. Starting in Tenrai IV, Halo Infinite's challenge deck will now feature two daily challenges, with one awarding players 250 SP and the other granting them 500 XP.

Halo Infinite Releases Operation: Tenrai IV

The Match Composer is one of the more exciting aspects of this new event, which allows players to have more control when it comes to online multiplayer. Matchmaking is a part of the game that Halo Infinite players have been pushing to make better, with Match Composer working to ensure everyone has a better time while searching for a match. Similar to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, this new feature will be shown on the multiplayer screen, giving players a prompt to select or deselect various options according to their preference. The arrival of this feature was showcased in a new trailer for the event, which also reveals the popular Juggernaut game mode is returning to Halo Infinite.

In Juggernaut, one player is selected by the game to be the titular Juggernaut and is granted buffs to their health and overshields as other players attempt to take them out, providing players with a fast, frantic, and often hilarious way to play. Cosmetics and armor are a big part of Halo Infinite, and players will find a number of previous items from past Tenrai events in The Exchange during this event. Operation: Tenrai IV also brings back community-created maps first featured during Tenrai III. Alongside items in The Exchange, several legacy Tenrai event items are also being brought back into Halo Infinite's in-game shop.
