Halo Infinite has its fair share of difficult enemies. Some of them are new, like the Harbinger, and some are classic Halo enemies. Some of these enemies are Hunters, who are just as menacing as ever and are more than capable of destroying the Master Chief during the course of the campaign.

In Halo Infinite, there are different types of Hunters and multiple strategies that players can use when it comes to defeating them. Indeed, they can be tricky and seem to pop up when they are least welcome. Though, it does make for good gameplay. Getting through Hunters can be hard, but there are ways to finish them off that will help Master Chief soar through the campaign.

How to Kill Hunters

Hunters come in two different types in Halo Infinite: blue and red. The blue Hunters are classic Halo enemies, and they are tough to kill. The red hunters are really tough to kill. There are a few things to keep in mind, though, when facing these enemies. The first is to anticipate them.

Most missions in Halo Infinite allow players to survey them before entering. If Hunters are ever-present, players should make sure they have the best weapons possible to take them on. The new "skewer" is a great weapon to use against Hunters, especially if players hit consistent back or head shots. Rocket launchers are good, too.

When it comes to actually fighting the Hunters, there are a few different approaches. Players can attempt to get close and use weapons to damage Hunters' weak spots, their backs, or they can attempt ranged combat. For red Hunters, ranged fighting is the best bet. They are deadly and can easily kill in close quarters. All the Hunters in Infinite, though, seem to move faster than they have in previous games. The key to defeating them is to use powerful weapons, aim for the back, and be patient. They have a lot of health and will pursue players for long periods of time.

Hunters can be a pain to kill. The best way to defeat them, without fail, is to stay alert and patient. They are just like any other enemy in the game as they can only take so many bullets. Grenades to the back can be good, as can powerful weapons, but at the end of the day, the Hunters can be killed by anything. One misstep, however, and that could be the end. For players going through the Halo campaign on Heroic or Legendary, the Hunters are especially dangerous.

All-in-all, Hunters have lost none of the power they claimed in previous Halo titles. In fact, they may have gained some. With that in mind, players can take them out by staying at range, using powerful weapons, and aiming for the back and the head. With a little dedication, the Hunters will simply be a few more enemies that fall before the feet of Master Chief.

Halo Infinite is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
