  • Halo Infinite offers extensive customization options, allowing for creative designs like a Haze-inspired Spartan.

A Halo Infinite player has paid tribute to the forgotten PlayStation 3 exclusive Haze via an awesome Spartan design in-game. Haze was once dubbed the "Halo killer" upon its release back in 2008, but the existence of Halo Infinite and Haze's relative obscurity shows how accurate that proved to be.

After a rocky release in 2021, Halo Infinite continues to go from strength to strength. 343 Industries has done a fantastic job of updating the game with plenty of new content, as well as bug fixes to make it one of the most stable Halo experiences to date. A recently added new Halo Infinite mode has serious Call of Duty Zombies vibes, with the fan-made playlist being officially added to the game by 343 Industries. It's great that the developer is looking at the best community creations, and figuring out a way to make them part of the main game.

Halo Infinite's Split-Screen is One Step in The Right Direction

Halo Infinite has spilt screen PvP, but it's still missing another classic multiplayer feature that should be completed before Halo 7.

Redditor Slaughtergunner shared their awesome Spartan design with the Halo community online, and frankly, it's great. It has been created to look like the Haze Mantel soldiers, with its bright yellow visor design remaining immediately recognizable to gamers of a certain age, despite the game largely being forgotten over time. Many in the thread loved the design, but couldn't resist poking fun at the "Halo killer" status the game once promised. There have been plenty of games in the past given this tag pre-release, only to not live up to expectations. Halo might not be the top dog in the FPS space anymore, but the fact the term exists shows what a monster success it once was.

The customization in Halo Infinite is a franchise-best. There will always be some out there who prefer the simplicity of Halo 3, or the mix-and-match unlocks of Halo: Reach, but Infinite has by far the most interesting designs that allow for the most possibilities. A little while back, one Halo Infinite fan even turned their Spartan into a giant Needler, showcasing how versatile the customization systems are.

Despite being released almost three years ago, Halo Infinite continues to receive huge new updates. It seems that the game is set to remain the primary Halo title for some time to come, with 343 Industries yet to speak of any details regarding a new game in the series. It makes sense, considering Halo Infinite launched with the intention of sticking around for 10 years, according to the developer. Whether it will actually make it 10 years is yet to be determined, but there's definitely a lot of life left in Halo Infinite.
